I actually HATE the new layout, it seems confusing to me IMO.
Also. no wonder why my ad blocker doesn’t stop ads on 9Now these days. Things used to be so good before.
9 has defiantly done something to stop ad blocker working as I noticed mine wasn’t working on the site the other day, but still works with YouTube etc.

Hate 9Now. Every time I go to use it I have to re-login on another device which doesn’t work and I end up giving up.

Love Island UK’s best rated episode so far on 9Now is ep1 with a VPM of 80,000. That is similar to early episodes from last season but well down on what later episodes achieved.
Been watching MAFS and, to my surprise, one of the ads I was served was for MKR. Im sure 9 wouldn’t be happy about that…

If Seven are paying for advertising on 9Now, then I didn’t think 9 will care much given how in front they are of 7 with ratings for their respective reality shows. Money talks

9Now, which offers broadcast video on demand, saw a 65 per cent growth in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation before Specific Items.
It now boasts a market-leading 50 per cent share of the video on demand market.

ACMA takes action against 9Now for State of Origin gambling ads
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has taken action against Nine for breaching gambling advertising rules during online streams of the 2019 NRL State of Origin.
An ACMA investigation found Nine aired gambling advertisements during the pre-game programming for State of Origin Games 1 and 2 on its streaming platform 9Now.
Under gambling advertising rules, restrictions start five minutes before ‘kick-off’ if the broadcaster lets viewers know when the game starts at least 24 hours in advance. In this case, Nine did not do this, so the rules applied five minutes before the pre-game coverage.
ACMA Chair Nerida O’Loughlin said the rules prohibit all gambling advertising during live sport streamed online between 5.00 am and 8.30 pm.
“I hope this sends a message to all streaming services that this is something they need to get right,” Ms O’Loughlin said.
“One of the reasons these rules are in place is to allow families to watch live sport without exposing children to gambling.”
The ACMA has issued Nine with a remedial direction requiring it to conduct staff training on the rules for gambling advertising on online platforms, and to submit two written reports showing compliance with the rules over the next 12 months.
In the event that Nine does not comply with the remedial direction, the ACMA may seek penalties of up to $420,000
According to the ACMA investigation available on their website, there is an exemption from the online gambling advertising rules if the stream is an identical simulcast of a free-to-air television or radio broadcast. But because 9Now replaced some of the broadcast commercials with targeted ads it means that it was not exempt from the online rules. Nine didn’t understand the laws.

9Now Launches COVID-19 Government Section and Health Updates
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Nine has made the decision to launch a dedicated subsection of 9Now which will carry the content of Federal Government and health authority press conferences.
Videos under the COVID-19 Government Updates will stream ad-free and are being provided with the aim of giving Australians the ability to access the content of government announcements and media conferences. All 9News bulletins will stream in real time on 9Now and videos will be available on-demand.
“We recognise at a time like this that there is a thirst for information and for access to what our leaders are saying,” said Darren Wick Nine’s Director of News and Current Affairs. “For this reason, we have launched a dedicated subsection which will carry the content of federal media conferences.”

Why does 9NOW make you sign into watching LIVE tv. Few times I have forgotten my password and had to reset it just so i can watch a LIVE stream on the PM’s conference.
The 9NEWS site also doesn’t stream everything and makes it difficult to get a LIVE feed.
It makes me either go to Iview or Sky News which doesn’t play an ad firstly to start or login!
