I think that’s likely on purpose, very few people would be hunting on there for replays of news bulletins vs. watching other content or channels.
I’ve noticed recently just how messy the advertising of 7Plus has become. In separate ads, I’ve seen “Stream Big”, “Stream Big for Free”, “Stream Free”, and “Stream Live” being used as slogans. They should really just pick one and run it on everything rather than the mess they currently have.
Yes but they have different purposes and they all have the same premise. If they want to advertise that you can watch the 6pm news live then they use Stream Live. If you want to watch the latest Idol episode it’s Stream Big etc. It makes sense.
They need to fix their ads they have on repeat in each at break first. It should not happen don’t the developers use the product? The other day I was watching the news and then it went to their replacement programming as they can’t show the cricket on 7 Plus and I sware they were showing the same 4 promos in every ad break. That’s what they need to fix.
I do get the point. When I saw the “Stream Live” tag, it was during the ads for the upcoming World Surf League events, which it makes sense to promote the live coverage in instances where 7Plus is the only place to watch it (for Seven anyway). Ideally, the notion of streaming live should already be coming through in the other messaging in the ad, but I do see why they would use it.
Your example of the 6pm bulletin doesn’t quite fit because it would be a 7 News promo rather than a 7Plus promo, focusing on promoting all their digital platforms (bulletins live and on demand on 7Plus, and 7news.com.au updating you at anytime, or something to that effect).
Which leaves the other three taglines as a bit of a mess IMO. The average viewer isn’t necessarily going to understand the nuance of Big vs Big for Free vs Free. If they do, they may start to think about why things are being promoted as free rather than big, such as the “free” product being of a lower quality than the “big” product.
I had an ad on 7Plus for adult toys or something i forget a few months back. It didn’t show anything… think it was for Love Honey.
Really need a setting to turn autoplay off. Just watching episode 2 of Darradong Local Council and comes up with the play next episode (default) or watch credits option - couldn’t grab the remote quick enough so it went to go to next episode. Had to go out and back in to watch the end of the episode I was watching. There was a good 90secs left - no credits either, straight to the 7 Operations end board.
Annoying. ALL services should have an option to disable autoplay…

James Nesbitt stars in this fast-paced thrilling mini-series as a disgraced journalist who is reduced to raking though bins for celebrity stories, a thankless task that suits him because of his phobia of daylight. But when he discovers the murder of two Iranian cousins, he starts to suspect that there is a death squad at work, targeting pro-Islamists and backed by an organization bent on waging perpetual war.
I asked them about the expiry dates no longer showing and got this response:
Thank you for contacting 7plus support.
As per current rights, we are not allowed to show the expiry dates of the shows before ten days of expiry.
You will be able to see a note if the content will expire in the upcoming nine days.
I have passed your comments to product managers to review the possibilities of returning to the old format.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I kind of understand that, I wouldn’t start watching a show if it was expiring in a month and there are several seasons.
That’s probably the point lol

7Plus using domestic instead of international title, yet Seven’s EPG and guides using correct title of Suddenly 30 (it’s on 7flix tomorrow night).
Guides also saying “premiere”, which as often with Seven guides, is incorrect.
Cool 7+ promo during Australian Idol tonight with Ricki Lee and Scott asking who has the remote (I think that’s what they said)…
My guess would be they are running them in line with the 7flix broadcast. That episode airs at like 5am (in a few hours).
It might be a rights / BVOD issue linked to broadcast.
Thanks for the heads up!
Are all channels on 7+ in Hd
As in 7two & 7 flix!!
Yes!!!
As of today, 7Plus have a new bvod embedded ad bug (showing which ad, of how many, and countdown timer). Both pre roll and scheduled (usually as broadcast) breaks.
It’s still yellow, but now larger, with (e.g.) “1 of 4” now blockier/fatter and the countdown is now a ring that goes around, as well as the the numerical timer.
IMO looks worse.
