We shouldn’t forget to mention that Fetch TV has a feed of the regular Food Network
It’s probably better for them to promote a ‘Food Network on 7Plus’ offering and (like Nicholas said) have a few of the shows air on say 7Flix or 7Two. The network already does a similar thing with the Outdoor Channel - have seen 7mate air some of their programs
7 Food Network rebrands as online only channel 7 Nude Network lol. Has old 70’s shows like Number 96 (Before my time and never seen it ) , Erotic Tales from SBS and docos like Hot Girls Wanted from Netflix.
Seriously though , i think 9 would do better with the Food Network channel, they already have lifestyle with property. Or even Ten.
There are too many food channels on FTA. Not even Foxtel has more than one of them.
Also on FETCH
lmfao , there is only like two on free to air? How is that too many?
This one closing because no one watches it?
Dailymail has contacted food network:
“The representative said: 'Seven has a great partnership with Food Network, and we look forward to continuing this relationship into the future”
So, its staying !
doesn’t necessarily mean its staying on air. Could be online, perhaps?
Please try reading the story correctly. The quote is from Seven not from Food Network.
Your not making any sense mate. I asked you a question in relation to this post. Two is not too many.
That could mean until the contract runs out and since it was launched 10 months ago, that could be soon if the contract was for 12 months.
No, you’re interpreting my comment incorrectly.
I’m saying even just two channels is ‘too many’ if one is now rumoured to close. Not my problem you’re struggling to understand that, mate.
So is it gonna close or not?
well 7 have to find at a minimum 3.5Mbits bandwidth to make make 7mate MPEG4 1920x1080i / AAC or DD5.1 for audio.
Where do they get it from? they are already spread very thin with having
7 , 7two, 7flix, 7 food all MPEG2 704x576i / MPEG audio
Open Shop / Racing are MPEG4 704x576i / AAC audio.
Leaving 7 HD at MPEG 4 1920x1080i / 5.1 DD
they only have 22.5Mbits to play with.
we don’t know
Can they make 7 Food online only or does the contract say it has to be FTA?
I would have to say FTA network, this is not like Pac12 or Outdoors which are for 7plus.
throwing it out there:
Imagine a situation where 7food gets moved to 7plus, in theory those with smart TV with either 7plus app on their TV or via set top unit, would they be included to continue viewing 7food via online method?
The only positive going online is full they could go HEVC 4k 3840x2160p
I guess it’s 1.9 rating points, not much, but they need all they can get atm…
Knoxy of TVT said “insiders” or something
