What if they just have a similar channel to 7Two but have mainly American drama and lifestyle shows and just call it 7four or 7six?
They may leave all of the existing, mainly British, lifestyle shows on 7Two and have new shows on 76.
7Six will be a good name to avoid confusion with 9Life.
Other option could be that 7TWO could get a rebrand and have the new channel as something else
If Channel 76 ever launches, itās gotta Young Skewered Females 15-39 Watching this new Channel with Dramas and Sitcoms the Main Target.
Iām fairly certain thatās illegal.
only if you get caughtā¦
I reckon by Monday weāll see promos on/for this channel in the lead up to the Aus Open.
Or maybe Channel 76 might be just some sort of āpop-upā channel for the Australian Open with it becoming something else later down the track?
7 needs to get a move on with this. Despite coming third in primary channel numbers, 9 won last week due to its fourth channel.
They also won the last few weeks of 2015 by small margins due to 9Life.

If this new channel showed dramas like All Saints, then I would definitely watch it, all the time.
What we will probably seeā¦
Like many of you have said, it will probably be something to rival 9life.
Pretty weird and donāt know if I need a rescan, but the TV4ME channel is showing as HDTV in the LCN.
Iām still seeing the placeholder onn76 though.
Infomercials, Psychic TV and Call & Win in crystal clear HDā¦Iād really like to see that!
But seriously, the channel is still broadcasting in SD!
TV4ME is being reported as 528 x 576i here.
Seems its gone. Must have just been a Tivo Glitch.
Despite some people suggesting that the new channel 76 and 7 HD could start in time before the Australia open tennis, I concede thereās nil chance of that happening.
To be realistic I believe thereās a better chance of the new channel and 7 HD starting in time before AFL and the Olympic Games, but definitely not in time before the Australia open tennis. So I think the open will be in SD once more.
Huge missed opportunity I think for 7HD. Sure, AFL needs it too but its not gonna gain them too much traction in NSW/QLD where no-one really cares about AFL being in HD or not (over simplification but ya know what I mean). Surely it must be something technical rather than just not wanting to do it? Then again nothing would surprise me.
Or maybe it will start on Feb 1. 7 would be silly to start the year with one channel less than 9, given the 4th channel has given 9 some wins recently. 7 could certainly promote it heavily through the Australian Open.
I have yet to see any promos for 7 HD. But then reading from the history of 7 network it never was happy to adopt the latest updated digital technology when it was first introduced.
Anyway I got a quote from a source āNine launched its HD channel in November while Seven will do so before the AFL season kicks off in Marchā¦ā
