I thought it was a little odd that she mentioned she doesn’t like rolling tv weeks after her hosting rolling coverage of the election.
Not liking doesn’t mean you don’t do something once every 3 years. But day in day out, she clearly knows what she wants and doesn’t want.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be on tonight’s show, chatting with Leigh Sales.
I saw someone referring to it on Twitter as 7.30’s End Of Fin Year Sales…
According to Nick Tabakoff in The Australian, there will be a party at the ABC’s Ultimo headquarters at 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) celebrating Leigh’s tenure as 7.30 host. Her past and present colleagues have been invited. The guests will be invited to watch Leigh’s final episode at 7.30pm.
Wow what a scoop by Nick Tabakoff!
Leigh’s final episode as 7:30 host was also broadcast live into Asia-Pacific region on ABC Australia tonight.
The Farewell to Leigh Sales special will be shown on ABC Australia this Saturday (July 2) at 10.15pm AEST, after the AFL.
Short sign off hey
Congrats to Leigh on signing off on a high after 11 years on 7.30. Can’t wait for Sarah Ferguson to start next month.
What a legend.Leigh is one of our nation’s great broadcast journos
It was a nice farewell to Leigh Sales tonight. A nice highlights package for her - with just some of her many interviews shown - from politicians, to singers and actors, to everyday people.
A good send-off for her.
Looks like the same graphics are staying
The ABC has posted tonight’s special on YouTube so people who don’t have an iView account can see it.
