Jimmy Barnes performing at the 2025 Logies
Jimmy Barnes performing at the Logies apparently.
It is mentioned in a Fiona Byrne article in today’s Sunday Herald Sun, which does not appear online.
That article also says the presenters for the August 3 awards will include Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake, Sophie Monk, Leigh Sales, Tom Gleeson, Denise Scott, Rodger Corser, Larry Emdur, Rebecca Gibney, Zan Rowe, Chloe Hayden, Melanie Bracewell, Tim McDonald, John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Ray Martin.
Excellent presenter choices. Particularly excited to see Hamish and Kitty
It’s excellent that there’s a good range of presenters from the various FTA networks.
Judging by the way some people and outlets have talked about the Logies recently, you would have thought it would have consisted entirely of Seven personalities…
More presenters are expected to be announced closer to the event.
still looks like “LOGE”
Why is it so hard to show the Logies live across Australia? Stream it live nationally on 7plus won’t hurt.
Streaming takes eyeballs away from terrestrial broadcasting where networks can charge more per rate.
A live broadcast across the nation clashes with 6pm news in Perth. Yes, a live sports telecast can move it but Logies wouldn’t get the same ratings to justify it.
If the Primetime Emmy Awards can be shown live on the US West Coast at 5pm local time, then the Logies can be shown in WA at 5.30pm local time as well.
Are people in WA begging for the Logies to screen live?
NO !!
Theres got to be some aad lonely people out in WA hangong out for the Logies live.
Some of them are probably MediaSpy users.
The Primetime Emmys are held in California. The Logies aren’t held in WA
Does 7 have a test pattern?
There’s just over a week to go until the Logies are on.
I’m not excited for it compared to other years, but I will still watch it. A yearly tradition of mine.
Will be interesting to see who will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Will it be Denise Drysdale, Maggie Tabberer (posthumously), Heather Mitchell, Daryl Somers (or Somers Carrol Productions) - a few names being mentioned in recent times.
I can see Working Dog getting one, but since they won the “Hall of Fame” at the AACTA Awards earlier this year, I think their time in the Logies will wait that tad longer.
And since Ray Martin is now on the name for the “Ray Martin Award for Most Popular Presenter”, does this mean he’s out of contention for the Hall of Fame (for now)?
