I don’t see why he can’t be inducted.
More of a just a quirk from my end. I think he should have received the Hall Of Fame before naming an award after him.
People don’t really watch tv anymore…
I’m a tv junkie, ive been on this forum for over 20 years. But apart from the news i think there’s only one show i watch on a regular basis (home and away).
So, i think that’s to be expected to not be excited.
However, i think it’s good that the industry still gets to celebrate. It’s almost more for them than it is the audience now.
According to Sunday Herald Sun’s Fiona Byrne, Richard Marx will return to Sydney to perform a medley of his greatest hits on the Logie Awards next Sunday. Richard was in Sydney earlier this year as a coach for the new season of The Voice.
The Sunday Telegraph’s Sunday Confidential also revealed that the event organisers vetoed Nine’s proposal to have Sam Armytage (host of The Golden Bachelor) to present an award.
TV Week interview with Poh
Sam Pang on Sunrise this morning. “It’s not a roast, but a celebration of the industry”. “I have no discussions with Seven. They’ve been very supportive.”

That was already announced last week.
I knew it was announced last week that he was performing. But I wasn’t aware that him opening was also announced. Apologies
Travel Guides stars Karly Fisher and Bri Auty, who are hoping their show wins Best Lifestyle Program for the fourth year in a row, tell Yahoo Lifestyle that viewers might not realise how long the entire event goes for. The celebrities begin walking the red carpet from 3:30pm, which doesn’t air until 7pm on TV, and the ceremony itself typically ends around midnight.
Bri explains that after walking the red carpet, the guests enter the venue at 5pm and sit down at their tables for dinner before the show starts at 7:30pm.
“I think we’re category eight as well, so we’re not at the beginning, but we’re not at the very end. We’re kind of in the middle,” she says. “So you’re trying to go to the toilet in between and you’re trying to rush back, because you don’t want to miss it.”
What do you like about Home and Away I personally like Neighbours better,I’ve only watched about 20-40 EPs of Home and Away in the last 15 years.
I can fix the Logies with two options
1 - make the Logies like Takeshi’s Castle (or It’s A Knockout) and make the nominees compete for the trophy
2 - make the Logies a 2 drink minimum. Levels of drunkenness goes from buzzed, tipsy, blind to Karl Stefanovic.
They also need to fix up the reality / entertainment categories.
Why are Seven’s Australian Idol and The Voice that are both reality show competitions listed under entertainment instead of under competition reality programs with all the others? Why is Travel Guides under Lifestyle when it could equally be an entertainment program.
When competing the voting, I felt inadequate to judge in several areas including Best News Coverage or Public Affairs Report - some of these should be left to industry panels. Also, judging by this year’s entries the Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter needs a re-think. Why isn’t the category “best” rather than most popular anyway ?
Also , isn’t it time for a “best quiz” - there are enough programs to compete.
Mentions trialling his jokes at the Basement comedy club. Also talks about changing the Brownlow format.
Yeah, it’s a big problem that you have to vote in all these categories even if you’ve never watched the shows in the categories.
They need to go back to a short list of viewer voted “Most Popular” categories and a larger list of peer voted “Outstanding” categories.
so you have to vote in all categories? In the past you were able to skip anything you didn’t wish to vote in, AFAIK?
