Obviously set up for Robert to win. Sonia isnt going back to back, Andy instead of Hamish, Larry?
Both deserve an OAM at this point.
It’s only supposed to be in recognition of the past TV year. Not a measure of xx years service.
They could get a Hall of Fame award for that sort of longevity.
Denise Scott
Echoing others, really surprised with TV’s new runaway hit of 2024 in Tipping Point (whether just the overall show itsself or separately for Woodbridge too), even if only on-air for 5 months.

You’d have to think last year’s FIFA WWC’s all-time ratings records alone (which are now weighted) will be enough to win the sports category. Olympics almost always used to win for Seven, even if their Australian Open and AFL GFs were nominated. Feel for Nine not having won yet for their Aussie Open though.
Yeah. This is ridiculous.
In previous years, if an actor had a number of roles they would all be listed. If he is nominated twice, then that just means another actor misses out.
So are Rob’s votes added together or are they split across two nominations so he is disadvantaged?
He was in two shows too. RFDS and The Newsreader. Actually three with Five Bedrooms.
Bit of a joke no TIPPING POINT AUSTRALIA or TODD WOODBRIDGE - Arguably the biggest win / story / commission of 2024. Anywhooooooo the Logies has been irrelevant for over a decade, so there is that lol

One year presenting a show and straight to Gold Logie? Says it all really.
More like 4 weeks.
Long gone are the days where stars who were actually on air all year were nominated.
So two special broadcasts made the list, but shows like The Chase and Tipping Point miss out? They rated well. Even The 1% Club rated well, and that missed out.
Gruen is a Comedy? Isn’t that more suited to Entertainment? The Cheap Seats should have been nominated. Perhaps The Hundred with Andy Lee too?
What? No Ready Steady Cook? Jokes aside, this is pretty much the same line up for over 5 years. Why doesn’t The Cook Up with Adam Liaw ever get a look in?
Is Overton the fill in presenter on the Nine’s Late News on Sundays?
Not for some time now - seems to be mainly Amber Sherlock.
Since the pitch relies on his years on Australian TV, it’d be a nice idea if they played into that more by showing vision that pre-dates 2012.
Agreed, but you can bet Seven would be petty enough to avoid any footage of him on Nine or Ten
People are forgetting the eligibility period which was announced prior to voting.
So Tipping Point was only on air for a few weeks which is why not many people voted for it and therefore did not make it onto the nomination short list. Same with Deal or No Deal and Grant Denyer. Next year, they will have a better chance.
Go back in time and you’ll find lots of hosts and actors who were nominated in their first year hosting or in a role.
