He will host the red carpet with Sonia Kruger.
Dr Chris Brown to team up with Sonia Kruger for Logies 2023 red carpet Channel 7 announces
Popular TV personality Chris Brownâs first major gig for Channel Seven has been revealed.
The former Bondi Vet star was recently announced as the latest celebrity to join Sevenâs line-up of personalities.
Joining him will be entertainer, presenter and Gold Logie nominee Sonia Kruger, with the pair covering all the glitz and glamour from Australian TVâs night of nights.
The duo said they were incredibly excited to be working together for the event.
âIâd like to thank the Seven Network for this early Christmas present,â Sonia said.
âI couldnât be more excited to be working with Chris Brown on the amuse-bouche to the main event, the main course if you will, with the very tasty Sam Pang,â she added, referring to this yearâs Logies host.
âChris has such great, natural charisma and a brilliant sense of humour.
âWith my brains and Chrisâ beauty, this red-carpet show is going to be fresh, fun, unpredictable and bigger than ever.
âIt will be one of the best nights ever for both the television industry and the viewers at home. I canât wait.â
Chris added: âAs far as Iâm concerned, Sonia Kruger is the Logiesâ, describing her as ânaturally funny, fearless, flawless and a party animalâ.
âSo while it may be a duty of care situation that theyâve paired her with a vet, I genuinely canât wait to work with her on the red carpet show,â he said.
âThereâs a real excitement around the Logies being unpredictable this year.
âAnd nothing says unpredictable like putting a colour blind guy like me on the red carpet.
âHowever, luring Sam Pang off the green of the local golf course to host might be the wildest swing of all.
âI honestly canât wait!â
The TV WEEK Logie Awards has also confirmed a star-studded line up of presenters for the evening.
The long list of celebs includes comedian Celeste Barber, Kitchen Nightmares Australiaâs Colin Fassnidge, former Sunrise personality Grant Denyer, radio host Kyle Sandilands, The Morning Show co-hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur, Home and Awayâs Lynne McGranger, Sunrise co-hosts Matt Shirvington and Natalie Barr, and Farmer Wants a Wife host Samantha Armytage.
I mean, it is now a Seven hosted event and itâs their right to take advantage of that however they please (not to mention the very long gap since another network or them last broadcast it and Nine always used to make it a lot about them when they had it especially in later years where a lot of criticism was aimed), however surely some more Nine personalities will feature? Sevenâs selections seem very anti-Nine, not that itâs not to be expected.
Could be a thing from Nine refusing to provide talent for the broadcastâŚ
Iâd hope thatâs not true
Well⌠Seven and the event organisers went behind their backs and did this deal, so I would be peeved if I was them too.
From the TVTonight article:
A few stars from 10 are presenting - Stephen Peacocke and Kat Sterwart (Five Bedrooms), Alan Fletcher (Neighbours) and Osher Gunsberg (Bachelor). ABC has Mark Coles Smith (Mystery Road) and Tony Armstrong presenting too. Others include Emma Hamilton, Joel Creasey, Marta Dusseldorp, Poh Ling Yeo. Also, Roger Corser is presenting. Is he still with Nine?
Rodger and Sophie the only Nine talent I can spot, thatâs if theyâre technically even still contracted to/with them?
he is also 7 too with RFDS,
Why is it all 7 not multiple networks
Check 3 posts above. Other networks too. Seven dominates though.
Rodger is with Ten, Sophie is freelance
Is she ever in the news for not whining about something?
