Why on earth would he want to do that? It’s been shown time and time again that you can have a much better and long term career if you stick with the ABC. He’s also shown he isn’t a lightweight, not sure he would go great on the morning show next to Kylie.

They chose Rob Sitch’s impression over Billy Birmingham’s impersonation to show.
We don’t get the type of broadcaster like Bruce anymore. Someone who has the ability to host and call. Someone who can call racing, athletics, AFL, swimming, tennis etc. He called speed skating in Nagano 98. He was so versatile. Just tremendous.
These days there’s no play by play callers in the true traditional sense.

But these days you can work for multiple organizations. There’s less exclusivity.
Hasn’t done as much as Bruce. But yes. Alistair Nicholson also springs to mind.
I’ve seen more personality tonight in Tony Armstrong than I have seen in him the few years he has been on News Breakfast. Guess he does have something to offer other than monotone script reading.
