Also, sounds like she is whispering/talking quietly? Just doesn’t sound very reporter-y/professional. Great to see another member of this growing, up-and-coming team.
That’s the best and worse of twitter all wrapped up.
A false claim being corrected - and not just by Leo but the AEC who has one of the best social media teams going around, could’ve been met with a simple acceptance. I mean, I can kind of see what she was getting at regarding “speculation”, but am acknowledgement of the facts as they were presented by the AEC and Leo, she could still have managed to conveye the same vibe but acknowledged how unlikely it would be.
The hyper partisan nature of twitter really does suck, and unfortunately if you follow Leo, you get to see both extremes of the spectrum. Muting is a handy feature.
I came across this on Twitter yesterday (didnt help that one of the people involved in the pile-on took their bullshit to a blog) - his fact-checking has really got people riled up.
Interested to know where you’re receiving livestreams for Australian press conferences from. Are you attending the Perrottet and Morrison press conferences?
One had the ABC News logo and subtitles on it before picture went blank and it disappeared (likely just turned off logo and subtitles in YouTube settings). Are you just taking these videos from other media outlets?
Yes, they are. They’re not there livestreaming the press conferences themselves (and understandably given the strict media security clearance at these events).
