59th TV Week Logie Awards 2017

I predict Peter Heillar for the gold (and I hope if he wins it, he’ll give a somewhat serious speech, thanking loyal viewers of ROVE & Before The Game as well).

I think Samuel Johnson will win something, him and/or “Molly” have multiple nominations & it deserves at least one Logie (it won the AACTA).

Absolutely!

with less than two weeks away, and still no sign of a host? Or any of the award presenters?

and when do the Hall of Fame inductees get announced? I know they don’t announce them early, but is it about a week prior to the awards? Would be interesting to see who gets inducted.

On a final note, has Nine started advertising for the Logies yet? Like most other ads
of “coming soon… after Easter… etc”.

There is never a host anymore. Dave Hughes may do the opening as he is always good at that but nobody wants the title.

Last year I don’t think it got announced prior to the event, but sometimes it does get reported in advance.

they’re using the “Live & Dangerous” tagline again, I see.

I noticed that the event will be an M-rated program from 7:30PM. I mean the M-rated Logies have happened in 2013, 2016 and this year. I think that this might contain some violence, coarse language, themes, drug use, nudity, sexual references.

That’s a Logie night I think we’d all like :sunglasses:

Even the promo graphics that Nine uses for the Logies haven’t changed much in several years. Yawn!

If the Logies actually contained some violence, coarse language, drug use, nudity and sex scenes, that would certainly be a night to remember! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Sunrise will broadcast from Melbourne’s Southbank the morning after the Logies, and James Blunt and Andy Grammer will perform on the show instead of Today.

The free $4500 gift bag at the Logies includes three nights at a resort in Bali and three fitness/spa vouchers to use in Bali, plus assorted other goodies.

Celebrity purfume and a Bali holiday sounds like a bogan’s dream. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Announced on Studio 10 yesterday that Ita Butrose will be presenting an award on Sunday.

Did they say which award? Hall of Fame perhaps? I’d like to see Denise Drysdale get this so it would be perfect if Ita presented it to her.
