ABC News Channel’s coverage of the Inauguration will also be shown live on ABC Australia across Asia-Pacific region at 12.30am Hong Kong time.
Interesting that they use “BBC1”, it’s been “BBC One” since the mega rebrand in the 90s.
10 showing the most inauguration coverage of any free tv channel. 1am til 9:30am.
Mind you, bulk of that is taking CBS feed instead of Australian coverage like other networks will be doing but hey, if it gives 10 a breakfast bulletin as the TV Guide shows & better morning lineups that who am I to complain.
1am-9am will be CBS News Coverage, with a 30 minute 10 News First bulletin listed between 9am and 9:30am.
Coverage is also live across the country
Credit where credits due for showing it all live and giving us the most coverage, even if its just CBS relays - probably more insightful from an American view than what we’ll see from other networks probably.
ABC (US) coverage of the inauguration
TODAY will kick off NBC News’ inauguration coverage on Monday, Jan. 20 at 7 a.m. ET with Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker anchoring live from Washington, D.C.
Starting at 10 a.m. ET and throughout the day, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will lead NBC News’ special coverage of the inauguration. Holt and Guthrie will be joined by Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker, TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin, TODAY’s Al Roker, NBC News senior national correspondent Tom Llamas, NBC News senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson and chief White House correspondent Peter Alexander.
Topping off a day of inaugural events, Lester Holt will anchor NBC Nightly News live from Washington, D.C. beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 pm. CT. The special broadcast will feature NBC News correspondents from the White House, the nation’s capital and across America.
Clever by 10 really. Why not own it given their affiliation. They really should show CBS Evening News live every day!
Because there’s no Studio 10 or any breakfast shows to compete Sunrise and Today.
Interestingly, 10 have changed their coverage in the TV Guide with no separate 30 min 10 News First Bulletin tailing CBS’s broadcast.
Now listed in two portions, from 1:00am - 6:00am and then 6:00am - 9:30am AEDT. Both have the below description.
The Presidential Inauguration
Special LIVE coverage of the Presidential Inauguration of the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump. The ceremony will be held at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Nobody watches 10 so pointless.
terrible.
Do Management sign off on these poor decisions?
Channel 7 doing what we used to do in Perth for the Australian Open and footy. Delaying coverage by 3 hours. By the time Perth gets the inauguration, the ceremonies inside the Rotunda would’ve been finished.
Usually when we praise 10 for something they keep it. Strange - but somehow expected. All they’re offering was a simulcast with nothing original now though.
