2024 United States Presidential Election Coverage

We don’t know that though, they obviously had plans I’m guessing since there was what appeared to be a 30 min bulletin listed separately and would make sense to recap things from a local perspective at a reasonable time.

The change might just be for the purposes of the TV Guide, or who knows. Guess we’ll soon see.

Strange release; not sure why the various markets (except Melbourne) are listed separately with the same programming. And describing the coverage as if it is live to all.

In Hong Kong, inauguration coverage starts at 11pm HKT on TVB Pearl (before closing down at 5am next day), then 12.45 on Cantonese Jade (till 1.30am but the rest are soap repeats, so easy to sub in). Probably using vision from NBC News.

[Update] Yep. Sorry for the potato capture - there’s not an online way I can capture that! Jade was a few minutes earlier than scheduled for coverage, with a virtual studio entrance as they have analysis afterwards.

ViuTV (not English ViuTV6, which closes down at 2am) is to simulcast with Now News Channel from 12.40 to 2.30. The latter is the latest among the news channels to cut to a PIP window - the visions are used to make their own reports instead.

No special arrangements on the HoyTV channels, though I suspect their news channel will follow the event.

Nine you’d think will have an advantage tomorrow morning, as millions will be switching off their TVs/devices on their channel tonight, with Alex de Minaur’s AO match.

A re-cap of start times (edt):

ABC: 3.30am.

Seven: 3am.

Nine: 3am.

10: 1am.

SBS: On Demand.

So looks like Fox have a studio there that is enclosed, so must be within a building .

CNN looks to have an open air studio based on the heavy snow jackets they are wearing,
Would be interested to see what building Fox is in?

Sorry about that, I had Qld set on Foxtel Guide and couldn’t be bothered changing it as it’s difficult to see FTA now and was subtracting for est as opposed to edt time zones. Must be delayed outside edt.
