For me, the Sydney stream has the HD watermark but Brisbane (and other markets) doesn’t.

I streamed the first part of The Project tonight on TenPlay. It had the HD watermark. But then the ‘be right back after the ad break’ slide appeared so I switched to WIN. TenPlay catchup is great but the live stream is still extremely annoying.

Especially when it doesn’t come back after the break and gets stuck in limbo. That;s happened to me, a few times now.

If you are still having trouble with the ads on Tenplay I have found that adding the ublock Origin extension to your browser and inputting these two lines into the ublock filter works great at blocking all the ads:
g00.tenplay.com.au/g00/$media,domain=.g00.tenplay.com.au
g00.tenplay.com.au^$xmlhttprequest,first-party

I was just streaming Studio 10 on the tenplay app via the NSW stream (one thing I like is that I don’t have to wait the hour time difference to watch things here in Queensland) and saw that it still has the HD addition to the watermark, does anyone know if it is actually being shown in HD?
broadcast? yes, it is HD. I would say that is just the output they are sending to TenPlay for NSW…

Interesting, I hope it could be some testing to have tenplay catch-up and live streaming available with a HD option in the not too distant future.
I’m pretty sure the TenPlay streams are a variable bit rate… meaning you could get ‘HD’ out of it already… but I hear there aren’t any plans to do major hardware upgrades for the time being.

Yeah, it works, but you have to cast your screen rather than casting the app, which is annoying.

I was catching up on Bachelor in Paradise on tenplay and it looks like they’ve uploaded one of the episodes as it went to air, it has the Ten HD logo, in program super and now/next program information. Sorry about the low quality caps:

Roseanne isn’t available on Tenplay on the Telstra TV, a search on it comes up as " Sorry we couldn’t find any results for your search "
In fact, it isn’t even on the Tenplay website , the episodes ! the title appears… wonder why… saving money?
Roseanne’s production company holds the distribution rights to the season I think rather than the US network or studios. She’s probably saving them so she can hock off to Netflix or somewhere in a worldwide deal
The new “member exclusive” restriction for certain VOD (such as catching up on MasterChef) might backfire for Ten, in terms of VPM ratings.

Logging in for many is a time consuming factor and often you might forget users/passwords if requires an account such as Google you hardly use.
I was fine, but others may not be. TenPlay has had a technical issue history too. There have been some negative comments on social media about this.
