They have a camera with autocue in that temporary newsroom, seen it on one of their reports just sitting in a corner.
The camera in that bunker studio had issues this morning, sometimes they were normal, then turned them into ghosts then turned Hayley blue then after the break she was green lol

I think it’s the one that attaches to a camera ops camera and would have been used by simon last night so he had an autocue
Surely TVNZ can broadcast 1NEWS from Avalon or ChCh. How many delay to on air has happened recently for them to invest in another news set in capital and South. Or go live from Location.
The space they have built was apparently built a year ago for such occasions as this and fire alarms ect.
Where is seven sharp coming from tonight?
That seven sharp backdrop looks so much better when it’s not displayed on their normal shit ton of small screens.

Anyone at TVNZ read this? Breakfast please revert to the old intro sequence! Sting > headlines > titles > welcome. Right now it’s just a mess and I will never understand why they stopped doing it. They have plenty of time to kill so that’s not and issue and imo stop having the newsreader stand, looks stupid having to watch them get up and sit back down!
Breakfast at NEP this morning they seem to have a bit more of a set up there now.
