Good ideas there.

Though why sign ons and sign on offs?

Almost all TV is 24 hours these days.

Look at the title of the thread…

It’s my dream, not the reality! I want the whole technical, dramatic and nationalistic bombasity a sign-off/on provides. :+1:

They could sell the 2 hour shutdown to the infomercial company Thane and maybe call that 2 hour block as Danoz-TV (noting Thane owns Danoz)

I hate infomercials. Why would I have that shit on my “dream” TV network?

Think about it.

Why would you close down for the night? I was just suggesting “air time” could be on-sold to another organisation. I could do a dream network given I have the same opinion on advertorial content. The alternative could be a late night music show - I gather you “like” music given you have a show called “Jukebox”. You could still do your close-down and maybe do like a 2 hour “hidden” TV show maybe call it Jukebox Up Late and screen those more controversial music videos.

Just an idea - after all its YOUR dream network

Why are you giving me ideas to run my “dream” TV network?

It’s not like I’m going to actually do it! It’s like me trying to shag (insert random attractive female celebrity or model) here. It’s not going to happen!

Here is my dream for the Ten network. Please note NO infomercials on the main channel

No Knights games?

Not even a replay of the 97 ARL Grand Final against Manly?

As a side note to my schedule, Ten could do what Nine does on Nine News Now and farewell Win’s regional viewers at 5:30pm. Win could then offer a Win Local News encore on 10Bold at 7pm instead of second episode of Bondi Rescue

That would mean WIN viewers would miss out on all the 10 Sports news, and WIN probably wouldn’t want to air Local News at 5:30, which doesn’t usually rate well compared to 6pm or later.

I don’t think WIN have much choice here unfortunately.

Priority given to Knights, Jets, Swans, Kings, Thunder, Waratahs, Man Utd and Packers matches. And yes, the Greatest Grand Final Of All Time™ would be played ad nausem.

You didn’t think I’d think about that?

That would be the 2016 Grand Final, ECC! :stuck_out_tongue:

If it was a national bulletin, it would depend on how Ten managed it. The other alternative would be at 6:30pm and replace the first half of The Project. Also noting that the 6pm bulletin would air sports content. The other possibility would be have a 6pm nationally broadcast edition and the 5pm be state based, with Win News regions opting out of the 6pm bulletin for Win News

Why not News 24/7? Unless the ABC still owns the trademark for News 24…

Brilliant alternative. And then the 7 is the logo.

Seven used that trade mark around 2002/3. So it has been done before.
