Afternoon Monday 14 September 2026

Seven’s afternoon line-up continued to be well ahead of Nine’s up until 3pm when Nine closed the gap and narrowly won 3pm and 4pm then easily won 5pm.

B and B numbers have been up slightly - making the real top 30 yesterday.

The daytime schedule for Seven in recent times seems to be working, overall.

The introduction of the Midday News seems to beat Nine’s midday schedule regularly (apart from the MAFS repeats earlier in the year).

A closer gap at 3pm for The Chase UK and Tipping Point UK - compared to a few years back, when it was getting flogged. The 4pm News on 7 and 9 are very tight these days too.

10’s 11am repeats seem to be doing okay. A hit and miss for their Lunchtime News. Viewers disappear and return at 4.30 for Bold and the Beautiful.

Seven was ahead 6am until 3pm, with Nine ahead from 3 until 6pm.

Seven almost double of Nine at the 2pm hour before the “switch” happened. Although the 3-6pm hours are a lot closer than how it used to be a year ago.

On a side note - as cheap as it is to make with all the product placement around, but I think it’s time to get rid of the 12pm Cooking Show on 10 at Midday. I thought Justine Schofield was popular. I guess not, looking at the 15k viewership.

Ands that’s national, not even metro. 15k is truly awful. Surely there must be some cheap short run Australian drama they could repeat there, Rush, E-street, breakers, that could get more than 15k. Or even a cheap current soap, Fair City, Hollyoaks. How expensive was Shortland street that the FTA networks keep dropping it.

Anyway, as long as it’s cheap, 10 don’t seem to care isnt that right News+

10 really needs to move it’s lunchtime news back to Midday. Their afternoon lineup is woeful.

Ouch for 10. Midday cooking blowing up any chance of competitiveness leading into afternoons

Are those figures for Everyday Gourmet for a new episode or a repeat?

Will cost more

I know. So do it as it’s needed.

I remember this used to do well at 4pm leading into Bold and the Beautiful a few years ago.

I’m surprised 10 didn’t move their cooking shows back to 4pm, with their UK game shows from 2pm-4pm, when Neighbours ended.
