Winning Arvo

Have they stopped the ‘Winning Arvo’ segment which involvedthat Temu tipping point game?

I swear it’s just news updates now

Programming note:

From Monday 27 July the EPG entry for Seven News With Alex Cullen 1:00 PM Mon-Thu isn’t shown in the schedule any more. Up until then it was a 2-minute entry in the official guide and EPG.

So the News Update with Alex Cullen will just be at 2pm and 3pm?

I found it odd being at 1pm, straight after the one-hour news bulletin

Slowly being phased out by the sounds of it.

Back in the schedule from Monday 3 August - seems to be taking a break for the Comm Games.

The 2min 1pm update Seven News With Alex Cullen has been taken out of the schedule from next Monday.

The Alex Cullen News Update at 1pm was always unnecessary.

If it was a light-hearted intro into the Winning Arvo schedule, then I’m all up for that. But a news update following a pne hour news bulletin was silly.

They could literally just do what they do in uK and Ireland, and do a quick recap at the end of the actual news.

Seven’s News at Noon seems to be doing well.

Seven ahead of Nine from 12 - 3pm. The Block repeats seems to do okay too. But Nine’s Pointless at 2pm (and filler at 1pm) always seem to be down.

Tipping Point UK at 3pm, and Tipping Point Aus at 5pm still ahead of both versions of The Chase, but the gap is closer than a while a go?

At least the 4pm News seems to be more neck-to-neck of late.

Seven have scheduled movies on Friday at 1pm from 21 August (repeats).

Now that’s more a Winning Arvo schedule than those boring game shows. :slightly_smiling_face:

From my understanding, Seven were having some success with its new afternoon line up last year? So why are they reducing the news updates, and the Friday schedule?

I dont mind movies on Fridays as part of the schedule. As the game shows between 1pm and 3pm is pretty limited as it is. Dont want even more repeats on Fridays.

But then again, how far behind are we with The Chase UK? It’s like, a few seasons back, if im not mistaken.
