It would be along the lines of “Blurring the line between news and entertainment”, that sort of thing.
Not the exact wording, but I hope I get the point across.

No music for the weather today.
2nd episode, Round 1…
$10,000 won
The local update was again a weather montage in PRIME7 areas.
I find it odd that we in the regions get weather, when it leads right on to the national weather. Don’t they do Pot Noodle updates in the daytime anymore that can go there?
I would like to note that only $25,000 can be given across this week.
So that is a steep cut into that number.
Why is there a limit?
Why would you put such a low limit on a game you know will run enough times and has enough spaces to probably break that limit?
Here’s the T&C if you want to interpret your way.
The total maximum Prize Pool value is $25,000.00 (including GST). The actual value of each Prize will depend on the outcome of the Winner’s Coin Drop play. The amounts stated represent the maximum possible Prize values only. The Promotor does not guarantee that the maximum Prize value will be awarded.
What drop zone did the choose?
I believe Zone 2
Game 2 is $2500. Seven’ll be hoping for a low win in game 3.
$11,800 left in the prize pool could mean we get next week’s game this week!
(If we’re lucky)
At this rate, there won’t be enough for Friday.
Game 3 is $500 leaving us with a remaining pool of $11,300 for the next 3 days. I wonder if they might change the bottom amounts tomorrow to stretch out the pool a little more?
Alex Cullen must be dying a little inside hosting this crap
I think you meant… shit
Not sure if this is the thread for it - but tried to watch a bit of Blankety Blank on 7plus - seems like an awful adaptation. The theme music doesn’t help, but glacial pacing and seems way too in a bubble of knowing about UK events and celebrities that I can’t imagine have much relevance over here, that I can’t see it being a strong show as part of this block.
Really suffers from the UK adaptation issue of just slowing the pacing down on absolutely everything, like their unbearable versions of Jeopardy/Wheel.
Rob didn’t hold back
He’s not wrong though. None of this makes sense and it’s a shame to see Alex’s talent wasted on this.
Pretty ballsy of Rob too, considering he is a Seven employee (in the division producing Winning Arvo no less!). He may only be a freelancer though? Either way, I don’t disagree with his take - if not a touch dramatic LOL
