Alexia Boland and Wes Cusworh were presenting out of ballarat all days execept thursday last week tonight its back out of Wollongong.
Bruce and Amy are presenting Bendigo only from Wollongong. The other four bulletins are still with Alexia and Wes in Ballarat.
Looks like the desk from either the old Canberra or Toowoomba studios.
The Wollongong cameras seem so soft compared to the Ballarat ones. Iâve noticed this difference with the All Australian News too. The background is sharp, but Bruce really fuzzy.
Cameras might be out of focus?
The tight shots of Bruce and Amy were a bit sharper tonight, but the wide shot quality is horrible. These caps are through VAST, so the quality is lower than what would be shown on FTA, but itâs still poor.
First two caps are Monday night, middle two are from tonight and the bottom two are the Ballarat studios.
Also, last nightâs Bendigo and Ballarat bulletins, thereâs few noticeable differences in presentation between Gong and Ballarat aside from presenters, mainly the desk, camera angles and interactions between presenters.
Wow, I just had a thought, CQTV.
You must live in Media Spy HeavenâŚ
With VAST and assuming you have decent broadband, you could watch almost EVERY news bulletin in the country every night!
That picture quality is absolutely awful.
@CQtvNetwork can you confirm that Bendigo is still the only Victorian region to have moved to Wollongong. We have had Bruce Roberts all weeks so I have this feeling that we have already had our last bulletin from Ballarat already. The only reason I can think of that other bulletins not converting over is they are waiting for another presenter to make the move as Amy Duggans work load would be too heavy. How many bulletins is she currently doing?
As far as Iâm aware, Amy Duggan is the sports presenter alongside Geoff Phillips on all Southern NSW/ACT bulletins.
Youâd think that theyâd have to bring someone over from VictoriaâŚor hire a new sports presenter once the remaining bulletins move to Wollongong.
Yes, Ballarat, Albury, Shepparton and Gippsland are still coming from Victoria tonight.
Amy currently does four bulletins, those being Canberra, Gong, Orange and Wagga. I canât see it working with her presenting nine bulletins a day, and hopefully WIN arenât silly enough to go along with that idea, so Iâd say that would be one reason why, perhaps also making sure the new studio is ready for all five bulletins, iron out any kinks with control room staff (even though I believe itâs usually only the one person since WIN automated.)
Iâm also interested to see whether WIN brings a weather presenter back to VIC bulletins, and NSW whilst theyâre at it. Britt Ditterich hasnât been seen since prior to Christmas, but she did get married earlier this year.
EDIT: Bruce is presenting in Shepparton tonight too. Ballarat, Albury and Gippsland still coming from Ballarat.
WIN News is really failing as the source of local newsâŚ
Two major things happened today in Western Victoria. A man was shot dead in Landsborough, this was a lead on most state based television news bulletins tonight with background and details. On WIN News it was reduced to a V/O at the start of the bulletin. No mention of charges, details or people involved etc. Not even a reporter at the scene.
Meanwhile, a âback from the deadâ truck driver, as 9 put it, was charged over a crash near Hamilton that killed a man and seriously injured another person. This was also a lead on most state based television news bulletins, however was reduced to a V/O on WIN News.
Itâs just not good enough.
Probably because it gets pre-recorded at say 4pm in the afternoon and due to time/distance, they canât get a reporter out there to file a report in time.
I agree, it should be better, but EVERY regional network is guilty of this kind of thing.
The shooting occurred at 7.30pm the night prior⌠I understand if it had occurred in the mid-to-late afternoon but it didnât. Plenty of time to get a reporter out to what was quite a big story.
Ah really? Thatâs a bit average⌠thanks
Iâm not surprised. When I was at 2QN Iâd present news stories that WIN News wouldnât cover for days even.
So wait, a local shooting happened at 730pm Monday night.
And there was no filed report on Tuesdays news at 7pm?
That is really bad. Even if they pre-tape the news at 4pm - that is still 21 hours to produce and file a report.
That is a massive fail

Are you really surprised, Win has never been good at breaking news outside of the hub where they are based in your case Ballarat. If the story is big enough for the metro news services to cover it your better off watching them
Thatâs exactly what happened. At 7pm in the evening we pretty much got the level of information (which was very minor) the major networks were reporting at 7am. The very basic details of the shooting.
I donât know if it was the case with the 2 big stories in Western Victoria but I usually record Prime7 between 7pm and midnight and they can do a bloody good job. Some decent stories appear that WIN just plain out neglect to give any airtime to and for other stories they just simple do a better job at reporting it. Since I live no where near our hub Bendigo, and they are very unlikely to send reporters out our way unless it is pre planed, its sad but Prime 2 minute news updates usually covers our area better than WIN
All five bulletins back to being presented from Ballarat again. Alexia Boland and Wes Cusworth presenting.
Bruce Roberts was asked the other day when heâd be back presenting. This was the response.
