Definitely an improvement, the new super size and colours are very inspired by TEN’s previous version with the addition of the tagline underneath the logo. I definitely think if NEWS was in black it would look better and differentiate it enough from 9 news look.
That’s very wrong of WIN to play the same music and graphics as nine. WIN could find itself in hot water over this.

I believe they’ll wait until 6pm to launch the full package. WIN’s Facebook pages also have some traces of additional new graphics, which are also very Ten inspired.
I’ll let you know at 5:30 if Tassie sees anything.

I’ve never seen a graphics led recovery to win over viewers or ratings - good content first, with good reporters and good presenters is what news is all about. Criticism of News based on graphic design ?? Why would one spend many $$$‘s through a forced change in affiliation. The best outcome for viewers is for a subtle blend between both parties’ bulletins.

I like the “Tasmania’s News” and “First at 5.30” positioners.
Would be nice to see that expanded to the 15 other bulletins to read “North Queensland” or “Canberra’s News” instead of just “Your Local News”
First at 5.30 could become “Live at 6”
