I don’t trust 10 with having game shows. They always stuff them up!
The current iteration of Deal or No Deal on 10 seems to be doing well despite the initial skepticism
*Channel 10 show the Australian one.
Because 7 bought the rights to the UK one.
I’d surely think an issue with a Ten version would be how they would have to gear the upper tiers to be near impossible to avoid ever paying the million.
When Nine’s version was getting millions of viewers, it was a format that could fund itself. Not sure Ten could really risk the higher value tiers going off all that often, so I’d suspect you would see them casting the kind of people who would open the cases on Deal, rather than anyone with the smarts to go a long way.
Hot Seat was a bit like that, though that show’s awful format meant even if you were smart you’d never be able to win much.
That is why 10 should air this on on a higher rating night (probably on Mondays), if their big prize money pays off. Probably Q4 when their reality shows die off and the endless Jamie Oliver shows return.
If no one watches it’s not because 10 has stuffed it up. It’s because no one is interested in a game show that is slow and aired 20 years ago.
David Knox from TV Tonight said 10 hasn’t confirmed
Doesn’t mean much, more importantly they haven’t denied it. Says it all
Is grant denyer going to be the host
What’s the recent history of the show in the UK?
Is it a new revival or has it been going for a long time?
since around 2018
Mark Howard reportedly sounded out for the hosting gig.
Actually not a bad idea.
No one has mentioned Chrissie Swan as potential host.
Good
Yeh chrissie is probably a front runner knowing ten who seem to have a soft spot for her. I find her a bit overbearing for this concept. Thought she was perfect for masked singer tho
