The Block’s final episode of the week topped 1.2 million continuing to dominate the space and lifting 80k from last week. The result saw this the highest rated week of the franchise this year.
Gout Gout’s first appearance on Day 5 of World Athletics Championships helped boost the coverage last night to over 500k and the highest so far.
Seven closed out the 4th season of The 1% Club UK with 802k, down 40k while Hard Quiz on ABC dropped +50k to 582k. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia managed just 216k for 10 putting it behind SBS Viceland’s World Athletics Championships coverage that had 280k.
That saw 10 slip to 5th place behind SBS for prime time that had its best overnight result since Eurovision. Nine won the night with its best Wednesday share since State of Origin.
The Front Bar dropped by 110k to 522k while the Shaun Micallef’s Eve of Destruction Season Final disappointed with a season low 358k, down 70k week-on-week.
On Seven, Unfiltered with Jeremy McGovern had 232k in preliminary numbers, one of the lowest results of the inaugural season.
At 6pm it was the turn of Seven News to be number one with a 70k margin back to Nine News. Earlier the afternoon game show contest saw another win for Tipping Point by a 168 k margin. At breakfast, Sunrise again did very well to average 443k, a high for the week and 130k clear of Today.
And Nine’s audience was way ahead of SBS. Makes you wonder how many viewers SBS would have got had the broadcaster had the exclusive rights?
(I heard Fifi, Fev and Nick on Fox this morning talking about Gout Gout’s run in his 200m heat, and Brendan Fevola said the coverage had been on Nine, but did not mention SBS)
The athletics pulled viewers away from the likes of The Front Bar and Shaun Micallef’s Eve of Destruction.
