That wasn’t a coverup, just their usual watermark. The coverups didn’t appear till I think the early 2010s.

As discussed in the ESPN thread, Fox Sports 507 was used as an overflow channel for ESPN’s NBL coverage this afternoon due to the network having UFC + NBA commitments. As such, two different channel’s watermarks were simultaneously shown during the United v Phoenix game:
I’m guessing this means that ESPN subscribers on Fetch didn’t get to watch the NBL coverage?
They would have been able to watch on 10 Peach
