I don’t even have a dish or a sat receiver. I just browse lyngsat.com out of interest.

Will Wednesday mark the last time we will see the :::9HD logo on-air albeit as a watermark? While Nine recently phased out the HD, it can still be seen in regional areas.

Luckily WIN have maintained the HD bug since Ten dropped it. You would assume Nine on WIN would follow whatever Nine does, but I can only hope they see sense and find a way to continue using the HD bug on Nine HD on WIN.

Why impose an on-screen HD watermark for viewers who are already watching the HD channel?

If you really want to do something, maybe an SD watermark on the low-res channels, with more reminders to switch to the HD channel (or to stream for HD)?

Yep, I agree.

The sooner that “low-res” (AKA, SD) goes the way of analogue, the better.

Impose? lol, it’s in the corner.

Looks like a game from 2007, 2008 or 2009 (judging by the Network Ten graphics package and Richo still playing).

I think this was the first, probably with digital / wide screen/ HD coming about, that the network’s sport watermark (like Nine, Ten and Seven’s before 2007) wasn’t essentially burned into the tape. Even though Seven and 10, perhaps obviously, still like to use their broadcasted versions with their watermarks present when showing highlights today.

All replays / highlights shown today on Seven and Fox Footy from games before 2007 have the old Nine, Ten and Seven watermarks present.

Sky would also make the subscriber number appear on screen to catch those streaming it’s sports channels.

Is that from New Zealand?

Yes.

It’s so transparent you can barely see it.
