The orientation of the font has been also shifted to the left side, so it doesn’t look unintentional.
Thanks!
Not a good match for the channel watermark.
This very same watermark glitch is affecting The Logies right now on 9HD Sydney.
Southern Cross Ten taking some hints from WIN?
Just saw this “coverup logo” on an ad for Family Feud on SC10 Townsville.
Now that is what I call a snark.
I remember SC10 often doing a few Promo/Idents with that coverup logo before, but having it on a standard time/day promo is a new one to me!
Here one of SC10’s previous promos with logo - this is 2012
Nothing tonight. Mayhe enough people complained and they dropped it?
They had the Masterchef Nigella week watermark on the left hand side during Neighbours last night. More distracting than usual.
A proper cap:
Just an outline of the logo/boxes with text, it’s not as bad as some of Nine’s previous efforts (which have been near solid/full colour) IMO!
Since the change back to MPEG2, 7flix in Townsville now has the word “Queensland” next to the logo where the city name usually appears.
7flix in Regional QLD is a statewide feed, but it seems a bit weird to bother with a generic “Queensland” tag.
The answer is probably obvious, but why is it only the regional Queensland stations (and not the capital city stations) that get these localised watermarks from Seven?
Of course, localised watermarks are redundant in this day and age with Digital TV LCNs and whatnot anyway but still…
Not enough equipment to do proper local feeds for different parts of regional Queensland at this stage, I’m guessing. May also explain why regional Queensland is yet to get “7HD” or 7mateHD?
I suspect it’s also the reason they can’t make 7HD have its own scheduled, indents or watermark. It appears as though it has the take the same output feed as another channel before being fed through it’s own encoder.
I’d say they do it for the advertisers mostly. Reassures them which feed is which and that their target audience is definitely getting the right feed and not some metro/Brisbane version. It’s funny how metro-owned networks like 7 Qld and 9 GC/NBN feel the need to be more local with identification than our regional networks.
