WBD’s overall fourth-quarter revenue fell 2% to $10.03 billion from $10.28 billion during the same quarter in 2023. Full-year 2024 revenue came in at $39.32 billion, down 5% from $41.32 billion in 2023.

Warner Bros. Discovery reported a net loss of $494 million for the fourth quarter of 2024, or a loss of 20 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $400 million, or a loss of 16 cents per share, during the fourth quarter of 2023.

From January: WBD is selling TVN in Poland, with MFE (the family behind Mediaset), the MS Galleon fund (an Austrian private equity firm owned by Polish businessman Michal Solowow) and local online news portal Wirtualna Polska (WP) as potential buyers.

The latter two can signify the broadcaster returning to being locally-owned since 2018, when it was sold to Scripps Networks Interactive (and then Discovery and now WBD).

Been seeing celebratory posts from their Taiwanese channel division on Facebook: Happy 40th, Discovery Channel! At least you’re not TLC.

They seem to be doing an anniversary classics block worlrdwide on the channel nightly at 6pm this month. Is AUS doing that too?

Warner Brothers Discovery has announced they are splitting the company into two. It will be interesting to see what this holds for Three in NZ.

At this point just sell the NZ operations.

They could merge the ANZ TV markets… just saying.

I suggested on here months ago that they launch Max in NZ, piggyback off the AU operation and fill TV3, et al with Warner content. Basically just use the linear networks as a shop window for Max. I was told the NZ market was too small to sustain another streaming service and that’s why WBD ended up partnering with Sky instead.
