TV Week

Finally! After six straight weeks, a cover that’s not Home & Away related. Although Rodger has been on that show once which is probably the only reason why they put him on the cover. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Also, every story mentioned on the cover is a show on Free to Air. Great to see them supporting the local industry.

They’re usually good that way.

They should give Kitty Flanagan a main cover shot. She is popular with TV Week readers and so is the show.

:+1: for a Kitty Kover

Good to see Roger Corser on the cover. I think he’s been on the cover before. Id say once a year for Doctor Doctor and now this week for The Traitors. Which is good to mix it up a bit.

A Kitty Kover would be great too

Nice to see Martin Clunes on the cover this week, for the final season of Doc Martin.

Good that they’ve thought outside the box of usual subjects.

Great to see Martin Clunes (aka Doc Martin) on the cover. We haven’t seen many international dramas on the cover in recent years.

In the past, it was quite regular occurrence, from Friends, to Lost, to Desperate Housewives that made regular appearances on the cover. Just to name a few.

From mid January 2023, there’ll be another channel added to our screens - being 7Brave. Which i hope means that it will appear in the mag from day one (aka the guide in TV Week will get a revamp).

Not sure how it will fit though. But in this time of day, there shouldnt be a half column in the guide (being 6pm til just after midnight) for channels . Which are 9Life, 9Rush, ABC News and NITV. I think Regional areas have even more half columns.

The Pay TV guide section have a smaller font, so could some FTA channels go to a smalller font to fit them all in (like ABC News, NITV, SBS Worldwatch etc). Its a shame that some channels in the guide (like ABC Plus and ABC Me) have “morning programs” or “late programs” included in the mag, but not actually tell us what shows are airing.

TV Week’s listings have needed a revamp for some time. The current template is clearly not fit for purpose with channels missing and so many others limited to evenings only.

They won’t do it because it will cost them advertising space, but they need to just bite the bullet and expand the number of listing pages. Or consider using the grid format that US TV Guide and online guides like Nine use Australian TV Guide - All TV Show times, All Channels - 9Entertainment

The Rodger Corser cover was great (I actually bought a copy) and the Martin Clunes cover is great too, but The Block cover, to quote their own wording, was a ‘disaster’. So embarrassing.

The Crown is on the cover this week.

At least it isn’t H&A this time.

It’s good that it’s a show that is popular and newsworthy.

The odd thing to me is that they had a run of six weeks straight of Home and Away covers including some really awful screen capture ones. Now, surprisingly, they’ve had four weeks of other shows and actually explored some different shows and networks. This is good!

Still waiting for that Kitty Flanagan in Fisk cover though.

Kath and Kim are on the cover this week.

The last month have been so refreshing (re covers of the mag).

Its back!!! Some “sneak peek” of an up and coming wedding of Home And Away.

Small pic on the bottom righr on the cover of Tracey Grimshaw and Carrie Bickmore titled “leaving their desk”. It would have been a nice gift to have them as the main cover.
