TV Week

Clearly they want you to buy the magazine to find out.

It’s probably something mundane like “it’s time to move on… to this second pack of Doritos I have on the couch beside me.”

Of course he’s not leaving CNG, otherwise we’d already know!

He talks about how he’s had a shocking year after winning the Gold Logie in 2018 he went on to have Game of Games axed, had to drop out of Dancing with the Stars after a back injury, had to drop out of Celebrity Name Game for a few weeks after getting Bali belly and then his breakfast radio show on 2Day was axed.

Not sure how this supposedly related to “why it’s time to move on”. He had no choice in any of those decisions. He was moved on whether he wanted to or not.

It does mention his plans to do breakfast radio over summer with Yvie Jones on the Hit network and that there have been some early talks about possibly reviving Family Feud but nothing decided.

Our resident Ten expert discounted the possibility of a revival of Family Feud because it was originally mentioned in a News Corp paper.

It wasn’t a direct quote from Grant as part of the “exclusive interview”. They mentioned the fact he spoke to the Herald Sun about that. So you have facts mixed with second hand reporting from another publication that may or may not be factual.

Ugh!

This week it’s a Home and Away cover headlined: HOSTAGE HELL

Is this the annual HOSTAGE HELL issue? Or do they have one a few times a year now? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Of course

The show isn’t even on air the week that the edition is made for.

There must be some serious circulation boost when it’s a Home And Away cover.

I wonder how many times they’ll do it over its six week break this year.

You’d think this would be an opportunity to give some of the other shows a go, which run through the summer like The Project, Neighbours, Sunrise, Today, Studio 10.

Let’s see.

 good luck with that!

Ha. We all know that they will be on the cover for most of the 6 weeks the show is off our screens. The show’s “stars” will most likely be on the “Christmas Special issue”, and also be in the “H&A Preview issue”. For some reason, they’ll appear a few times before the XMAS issue too.

As mentioned above, this is the best time to have other show s on the cover of the mag - like Neighbours and The Project, that run all year round.

I wonder if perhaps Seven and Nine are more forthcoming to TV Week with preview material and access to talent for interviews, and Ten might be less so, hence a leaning towards H&A, MAFS and The Block covers during the year. Just a thought.

I dont know, but that does make sense that Seven and Nine could be more forthcoming to tv week.

We get more shows from Seven and Nine, rather than from Ten. Reality shows like MKR, MAFS and The Block have appeared on numerous covers, compared to maybe one from Ten (Survivor, from memory?). Seven’s "Dramas’, well, just H&A, compared to Ten’s Neighbours.

I only think because there has to be some logistical or commercial explanation for the constant leaning towards H&A covers and really the only other shows that get close to that are MAFS and The Block.

Editorial bias I’m sure only goes so far. There must be other factors.

A lack of imagination for both the show and the magazine cover:

Sadly, you are right. Home and Away on the cover again this week. Three weeks running and not even on air. Four pages on one of the actresses plus two pages on other cast members, plus a five page special “Home and Away 2019 in Review”.
