Correct. It’s Cameron and Jules from MAFS 2019 - one of the only few couples who actually had success on the show and after the show too.
Not sure if they’re still currently together or not though.

Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson are still together. They have two sons.
This is the most recent article on Cameron.
I always thought Sylvania Waters was the first or close to the first reality TV show in Australia and that was 1992 so it’s just a more recent history.
Yeah. I guess this anniversary is for competition reality shows starting with Big Brother? Even though that was April 2001 so not quite a 25 years anniversary but theh could be saying we’re in the 25th year of reality shows (fudge factor).
Popstars?
Yeah. I guess that counts as the first in 2000.
I don’t mind the random “25 years of Reality TV” cover. It’s something different.
The article inside did mention Sylvania Waters in it’s first paragraph, saying “Some would say it was with Sylvania Waters in 1992, but that was more of a fly-on-the-wall documentary”. They later mentioned the true reality shows were Popstars and The Mole - both starting in 2000, with Big Brother starting the following year. And the rest is history…
The previous 7 covers were Hamish Blake (Lego Masters), Chris Brown & Sonia (DWTS), Marta (Bay of Fires), Rebecca Gibney (DWTS / Logies nominees edition), Todd Woodbridge (Tipping Point), Andy Lee (Do Not Watch This Show, his book turned tv show), and Ally Langdon (ACA). Kudos to TV Week when due for having a relatively diverse range on the cover.
I don’t like it. It’s a cheap and nasty way to recycle old content because they can’t be bothered creating new content.
No sure if it has been mentioned before, but I notice that the TV schedules for Melbourne, regional Victoria and Tasmania have now been merged.
makes sense, I guess
So the guide pages have slightly changed (for Melbourne / regional Vic and Tasmania - and for Sydney and NSW)? The pictures in the guide are now to the left, instead of at the top thus increasing some space for the guide (and more space to add more shows for 10). But makes some more half columns for some stations by the looks of it - ABC Family and ABC News share a column, ABC Plus and NITV share one, and SBS Movies and SBS Food share another.
Do shows like WIN News and other variants in regional areas make a mention?
The opposite of what they should be doing IMO.
There are regional variations at the bottom of the channels.
Thanks for the info re regional variations.
I agree that it should be the opposite re the half columns. All channels should be full length in the guide. Some with smaller font to fit more shows in (for ABC Plus, SBS Food etc)
Makes a lot more sense this way. Schedules across the country have been so similar for a number of years now so reducing the number of variations for rationalisation of the process. The larger alterations are mainly sports broadcasts which are usually on a state by state basis so they can maintain that with this set up.
Just got my copy of the latest issue of the mag.
The variations between Sydney and NSW is actually quite minimal. Weekday changes are for the local News at 6pm for Seven between Sydney and NSW, and WIN and NBN News for Nine and Tipping Point starting earlier in the WIN affected towns. And surprised they didn’t centralise it earlier.
Not sure if its minimal changes for Melbourne / Regional Vic and Tasmania.
And at the end of the mag, for the “Don’t miss next week…” section (what’s in store in the next mag), no mention on the Logies Guide that should appear in the mag. Just an interview with Poh from Masterchef.
it’s pretty minimal, a few variations under Nine for Victoria/Tasmania (WIN) and Imparja. I am surprised they went to the bother of putting the Imparja logo at the top with the Nine logo.
Danielle Cormack and Sam Neill, stars of The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer, are on the cover this week.
