And we say TV Week is repetitive :joy:

‘Time to bust out “Together at Christmas” again.’

That’s where TV Week must get their inspiration from. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Matt Shirvington gets a cover plus Gladiators and Back Roads. Edition covers 2 weeks.

Good cover. So they have the double issue this week.

An actual good cover.

I get why they’ve been doing a “bumper issue” with a two week guide over this period, over the year few years.

it might have been better to have the double issue with the last issue (i.e. have it December 23-Jan 5). Because of the Thursday release of this issue, potentially no mail deliveries tomorrow (Aus Post deliveries usually have a day off on NYE or the last business day of the year) plus the Monday holiday, this one will likely not arrive with subscribers until middle of next week.

It is actually a joint photoshoot and interview with Shirvo and Nat.

I take back what I said, my issue arrived in the mail today. Surprising me from both Magshop and Aus Post! Magshop must have put the subscription copies to post in advance, as I can’t imagine it got here from Sydney overnight, and I was surprised that AP was actually delivering mail today.

Another year, and shock horror with what is on the cover…

So nothing has changed…

Surely, Deborah Mailman, an Aussie Television icon, could have appeared as the main photo for the return of Total Control, instead of being a small photo in the corner… Or be risky and have Gladiators on the cover, with its big launch that week…

and that’s just to describe the horrendous photoshop for that cover image

They did a photo shoot with the Gladiators hosts last week. A shame that one of those photos weren’t used as a cover.

Surprising that they also have not featured Deborah Mailman and Rachel Griffiths on a cover together. Both have starred in numerous TV series and are popular with TV Week readers.

Colin Fassnidge on the cover this week. Noticed that the price has gone up to $5.80 permanently since the double issue.

sneaky :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Existing Subscribers pay about $3.30 per issue, lower if they selected auto-renew. Existing subscribers aren’t impacted by cover price rises made over the course of their subscription.

However, now with a cover price rise, new subscribers now pay about $3.65 a week.

So the big headline is Colin Fassnidge had a health crisis. In the story he says he had stomach problems and the doctor thought he might have had a bowel cancer. He say he needed an operation but had to wait two weeks so that was scary. Then he just says “Lucky it was something else”. Why would you make that the headline story and then not bother to explain what it was?

Meanwhile, the Neighbours previews have been running a week behind for the past two weeks. So the “upcoming storyline” has already happened.

Because that’s how clickbait works, even on magazine covers. You don’t have to deliver a story you just have to get attention.

Go Kitty!

2024 Previews feature this week. No H and A on the cover but a cast member makes it!

Kitty Flanagan finally gets a cover.

Of course whatshisface manages to get squeezed in there like every year’s preview edition.
