Married stayed on top in reach and ranked second in average audience after Seven News. The show held onto nearly all of its launch audience. Ideo dropped by 40k from Monday while Survivor was up slightly.

In the game shows Tipping Point was down 60k while Deal or No Deal dropped out of the top 30 in reach audience.

Nine’s Epstein Files easily accounted for the debut of Kitchen Nightmares on Seven.

The afternoon encore of Married At First Sight did well.

Having a top 30 that that is ranked on reach being the key metric is so stupid, would prefer to see it based on the average audience with the total reach included. Any subsequent 7 day reporting could focus more on the total reach.

What a mess the networks have created with this new system.

@TV.Cynic The only problem with the table ranked by average audience is that it is technically incorrect now - no way that DOND was outside of that top 30.

It took Seven a day - The Chase is now appears to be coded as one.

That bumped the average down from 829,000 for the last half hour to 640,000 for the hour - just ahead of Tipping Point on 603,000.

Probably not for long… I’m hearing Tipping Point AU dominated the 5-6pm time slot 5 city metro yesterday.

Those ratings are pathetic for Deal or No Deal, if they keep up I predict it doesn’t come back next year.

If they are this close nationally then Tipping Point must have smashed The Chase in 5-City yesterday. Nine will be cheering today.

Good results for Tipping Point, I wonder if it could of outrated The Chase with the old 5 City numbers? I assume The Chase would’ve beaten Tipping in regionals so it could be a possibility.

68 weekdays if they had 70 episodes recorded.

Literally might as well air a test pattern. At least that would generate some publicity for them.

I don’t understand this chatter about DOND.

Obviously the new ratings format isn’t painting the full picture here, 10 have a much smaller reach thus affecting it’s ability to make it into the top 30 based on that and not it’s national audience.

The show is also about improving the lead-in to The Project and maintaining the audience from the news as an alternative, so if it’s doing better than the 6pm news then that’s a win.

It’s also day 2 of the show, not enough time to establish any real pattern or analysis about it’s performance.

Yeah I know. It might be worth adding a footnote that the average audience table may not be indicative of the actual top 30 average though.

Thank goodness The Chase js now coded as one. Took them long enough to do so. So we cant really compare some big shows from last year due to the various code changes (6pm news, The Chase, afternoon news, The Project etc).

Deal or No Deal. Its the peak (aka reach) which isnt high enough to make the top 30. The show’s average might be doing okay

A similar thing can be said about Tipping Point Australia. I think we need to wait 2-3 more weeks to see if TP has really made an impact on The Chase’s ratings.

  • Married at First Sight was a dominant timeslot winner in all metro capitals.

  • Married at First Sight ranked No. 1 with all key demos in all metro capitals.

  • Married at First Sight recorded a BVOD audience of 204,000 - up 1.8% on the corresponding episode last year.

  • Tipping Point is the No. 1 afternoon game show across the 5 City Metro.

  • Tipping Point was up 49.6% across the 5 City Metro compared to the Hot Seat hour on the corresponding day last year.

  • 9News dominated its timeslot with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

  • In Melbourne 9News was up 16.2% YoY, Brisbane was up 16.9%, and in Perth 9News was up 24% YoY

  • A Current Affair won its timeslot with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.728 million and a Total TV National Audience of 996,000.

  • The 9Network was No. 1 across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People.
