The FM offering is a more varied playlist than what’s on the digital station, but I can see why some people may see a duplication given the similarity in the DAB station name / FM slogan.

Why would Triple M want to get rid of its CD collection? You need a backup in case the digital archive fails.

An iPod or a laptop running Spotify is probably the worst case scenario backup. Plus the digital archive is probably redundantly stored across multiple servers in multiple locations. I reckon in 2019 they are covered.

I could imagine Triple M recruit someone internally (ie from another market) and then put someone else in that market.
Eg - Alexis from SA to take Phil’s place and then find someone to replace her role. She’s always switching between the M’s and Hit.

Higgo would be perfect, but whether Triple M have forgiven him is another story. Fingers crossed though because it would be great to have him back.

They’ve got someone named Cat listed on sydney today but Phil is still on today. I don’t know much about her history.
Pretty sure it’s the same Cat that was on the Amos, Cat & Angus breakfast show on Hit 107 Adelaide that was axed in favour of Bec & Cosi.
Seems to only by Sydney that have updated there site. Melb & Brisbane still Ugly Phil. Maybe they will go back to local announcers???
Triple M in Melbourne should re hire Jane Gazzo Afternoons 12pm till 2:30pm. The Rush Hour 2:30pm till 4:30pm. Kennedy and Molloy 4:30pm till 6:30pm.
Should re hire Dave Higgo. 14:00 is way to early for a drive show
