Triple M Network

Well, they started with the hit network in albury.

Is that the same Dom Knight who did evenings/nights on ABC Local Radio NSW a couple of years ago?

Yes, that’s correct.

If he continues to do Radio Chaser, he’d be doing a split double shift I’d guess.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they replaced them with Australia By Night which is on the Triple M Regionals on non-footy nights.

I hope not! I couldn’t think of anything worse. I really wished Triple M would ditch all this rubbish talk back.

Even though it is fairly lazy programming, I would love it if they were replaced with simply straight music, or the Cold 30. I tend to listen to Gold at night because of the straight music.

Totally agree, and agree with @Qwerty on his/her post as well.

I’ve always thought that the M in their name stood for music. I think their music is now pretty good, though an expanded playlist with more unflogged tracks would help no end.

I personally love the night shift, Luke is fantastic for this role and working at night it’s better than whsyvyiu get on AM. But the regional one is a show that I don’t enjoy anymore, the host has a habit at talking down to callers. Plus the music they play on Australia by night is all new music which makes no sense to me. I find that Paddy Gerard is better than Steve on this show.

They did run the campaign ā€˜triple your music’.

True as it currently is.

It’s always interesting watching the album art of Triple M pop up. It’s a bit of an insight as to where they source some of their song library from including the ā€œ20 Years of Triple J’s Hottest 100ā€ compilation which is quite amusing.

I believe that data comes from RadioApp and not the broadcaster themselves - it’s probably the first result in whatever database their cover art is sourced from

I must admit I am using RadioApp for these screenshots but I’ve seen the same on the Triple M app but looking at the online web player just now and this track is missing cover art so you might be right.

The app framework on both the Triple M app and RadioApp may be the same and source them from a database if they are missing:

Did anyone manage to listen last night to find out what has replaced Tom & Olly? Nothing listed on the website. I meant to listen in but forgot.

Just listening to Triple M Sydney now.

Sounds like automated music is the replacement for Tom & Olly.

Just heard 3 songs in a row with nothing else but sweepers.

Better still than taking Stephen Cenatiempo

Good. Dead air would better than those two.

Look up West Coast Radio (91.7 The Wave, 973 Coast FM), they use a 3rd party business (I have listed it elsewhere here before, looks similar).
