Triple M Network

Can anyone confirm if Triple M also does cross permission for Seven?

A few mentions by the commentators, and a promo at quarter time.

There was also some cross promotion via 7’s Mega Wall for the Cricket coverage at the Sydney Test earlier this year, interestingly though only Steve Johnson got a mention of those in the box which may be a coincidence….

According to Sunday Herald Sun’s Jon Anderson, Seven’s Mitch Cleary is said to have caught the eye of Triple M football recruiters. He has been earmarked for the Sunday news role, up against 3AW’s Laura Spurway.

He’s also doing AFL news for The Rush Hour

Old news. I think even before the merger we knew Mitch’s role on Triple M footy was going to be increased.

Perhaps they were thinking he would have played more of a role on Thursday Nights rather than Sunday Afternoons….

Interesting piece there. In my opinion, I think are talented but probably not at the strength to succeed in a metro breakfast market quite yet. Perhaps regional hit breakfast or nights might be a next step.

To me they still seem a little young for Triple M’s current demographic, unless the music was to be skewed younger but perhaps a bit too tradie for 2days format

They can’t do worse than the current weak lot.

Animal noises would be better than the current weak lot.

weak slot maybe? Is that what @TVHead meant to say?

That said, sounds like Lu and Jarge don’t see it that way and prefer to be national even if it is a “weak slot”.

They would suit drive and that seems to be their future I’d say.

Could they do national drive on Triple M? Something non-sports might be the way to transcend the north/south sporting divide.

I still think they’re better suited on the Hit Network, but you’re not going to mess with Carrie and Tommy.
