They certainly have been all over the place, itâs only been Sarah on workdays this week.
Rosie Walton celebrated her 30th year on radio this morning.
It was a good listen too with some highlights from her time at Triple M. I listened to the podcast, highly recommended if youâre a 3MMM enthusiast. Rosie is synonymous with 3MMM.
According to The Australianâs Media Diary, Jonesy and Amanda are in talks with Triple M Sydney to take their breakfast show there.
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has denied speculation that long-time Australian Radio Network (ARN) breakfast duo Brendan âJonesyâ Jones and Amanda Keller.
(But do we believe them? )
About as believable as 10 News Perth getting 100K+ in ratings
As if they care about Beau and whomever else they have holding space. They would kill for JAM, Iâd even argue they could go to 2day and flip it to a Smooth/Gold format or go to MMM and work there too.
10000% agreed. Itâs the next best thing to having K&J become âup for grabsâ when they left 2DayFM. Of course SCA would jump at bringing J&A across. Theyâd be silly not to take them.
As for Beau, he could easily still find a spot - possibly as a part of the breakfast show, or involved with Triple M NRL - as Iâm sure Woodsy would easily slot into as well.
It would be a clear homecoming for J&A if they were to shift to 2MMM - as both were there previously.
About as believable as Peter Duttonâs Nuclear idea.
Better than average odds theyre off. Unless.JAM gets K&J wages.
See if Beau and âfriendsâ have a contract longet than 12 monrhs and youll get your answer.
Triple M will switch off the mics across its entire network from 6am to 6pm on Monday 7 July for its seventh annual No Talk Day, a campaign designed to create space for Australians to check in on their mental health and each other.
All programming, including shows, news, traffic and advertising, will pause across 49 stations nationally and on the LiSTNR app. Instead, listeners will hear a curated selection of music, messages from listeners, mental health professionals, and some of Triple Mâs most recognisable talent reflecting on their own experiences.
Interesting to see how early in the afternoon the Friday Huddle is pre-recorded before it goes to air at 4pm.
A social post from Triple M Footy today shows the time on a computer in the studio being 12.45pm when they recorded the first segment!
What day?! The cynic in me wouldnât put it past Triple M to record some content earlier in the week even.
Iâm sure it would be today because they reference the Thursday night footy results.
I understand why they have to pre-record because of Jason Dunstallâs Fox Footy commitments in the evening, but even still, that is a big gap and they are missing out if a major footy story breaks.
I agree. But itâs understandable given Rush Hour canât easily do Fridayâs due to JBâs commitments with Seven and most the Friday Huddle team also have Friday commitments elsewhere due to the heavy TV roster.
I think Triple M have found the right balance and compromise to maintain their top talent during prime time programs like the Friday Huddle even if they have to pre-record some (or all) segments.
Iâm pretty certain the Rush Hour is pre recorded earlier in the afternoon for a fair chunk as well.
Yep. They do 1 or 2 segs live, notably when they are taking callers. Then I reckon most of the 5pm hour is pre-recorded.
You often hear them joking in that hour about how they have to hurry because the show is about to start. Clearly they are recording just before 4pm when the show goes live.
It wasnt that much of an issue. All JB did was sit in the MMM box at the ground.
Well he did try it for a year or two but it probably wasnât sustainable long term for him so they just gave Friday Rush Hour the flick.
I imagine it worked fine for Melbourne matches but interstate would have been hard slog to get good flights and then arrive at the ground early enough.
