Mix 94.5 another change
Gone 9at 9
Elissa know 9.2đ¤ˇââď¸
I think itâs because of the Greatest of All Time - focusing instead on a specific artist and sprinkling songs from their catalogue over a 7 hour period. The regionals have dropped 9 at 9 and Doubleshot Tuesdays too.
Yes or Absolute Radio.
Triple M Sydney weâre playing a few modern rock songs yesterday morning around 11, found it to be quiet good.
Maybe they could do a Classic 9 @ 9 and a New Rock @ 10.
Great ideac
First time Iâve listened to Triple M Sydney in a while this morning and have to say Iâm really enjoying it. I dip in and out of Triple M as they have some really good months and then just go flat again. This morning has been a great mix of music. Iâve said for a long time they just need to have a wide playlist (plenty of Rock out there) and theyâd be onto a winner.
interesting on the talk of a multi-city breakfast show.
I know iâve said it before but breakfast, of all he shifts needs to be local. they need to talk local issues and i know for me, pronounce words like a local. Noting jolts me out of my listening daze when i hear a suburb or road name pronounced wrong. As a Brisbaneite we ahve a few - try pronouncing Capalaba or Yatala - or even worse, Rode Road.
than there is the matter of sport. itâs fine to network Brisbane and Sydney, and Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for sport but the time difference wonât allow it to happen (unless you want a 6 hour breakfast show)
I know they are trying to cut costs⌠but networking breakfast will not work on commercial radio
Or Indooroopilly.
Found it interesting listening to bits of 3MMM today. Went to work early (5:00) and heard of bit of the overnight show. Luke Bona was on holidays and being covered by Adam Shan. The announcer or panel guy was Le-Roy Brown which made me think it must of been coming out of Melbourne for a change. Any way when leaving work today after lunch Mattie O announced that Le Roy Brown was up after 13:00? A big call to do overnights then afternoons. Thinking the afternoon shift may be voice tracked?
LawrenceâMoonmanâMooney does occasional guest spots on Triple M Brisbane breakfast.
Heâs been in Sydney too, was doing the mornings last week then into the afternoons, my guess is heâs voice tracked.
Survey Ratings break in a weeks time
Not sure if any shows would have a break with covid happening still.
Is Kennedy Molloy gonna Run a best of the show with Dangerous Dave or will the respective station have someone to power thru the usual K and M segment?
The GOAT has been Revealed on Triple M, I guessed Queen and I was Right.
Probably the worst kept secret.
It was pretty obvious . But correct.
Clairsy Matt and Kymba on 2 weeks Holiday. Back July 13, Elissa Macneall covering but with music whole time, Kennedy Molloy also on 2 weeks break back same day but a Best of Kennedy Molloy will run for those 2 weeks
I donât know if theyâve had success with this idea in the past, but the way theyâre approaching this seems so counterproductive to what theyâre hoping to achieve.
No shows, no ads, no news, no traffic reports and no announcers on-air.
Why do you have to isolate your listeners from the news and traffic reports they might rely on while theyâre in their cars, or the presenters and shows they listen to as an escape from the world. An entire day of just music and concentrated mental health stories sounds potentially overwhelming and exhausting for anyone in the headspace theyâre trying to reach.
Why not actually talk about it, use their on air team to speak directly to their audience, speak to professionals, people who have come out the other side of mental health issues. Surely that would have more cut through than prerecorded bits.
To me, theyâve made mental health into this huge deal that canât just be spoken about by the regular presnters theyâre used to listening to, and it has to be this huge disruptive event. Hit network have done days like this in the past, but theyâve had presenters from their stations come together and present shows, so it can be done.
I appreciate their intentions, but why not try to normalise mental health, have regular and familiar presnters talk about it every day, without trying to pat themselves on the back because they do something one day a year and potentially alienate people who need to hear the message most.
