There has been some suggestion that the BBC is keenly interested in trying to revive the brand as a TV show in other markets outside the UK - there might be a return of the US version soon as well.

Not sure if this is commonly known or has been mentioned anywhere yet, but Top Gear Australia will be launching with a double episode premiere tomorrow.
Looks like children’s entertainer Emma Watkins will be special guest on episode 1.

Was referring to the double episodes available from launch, then reverts to weekly.
But good to see they’re giving it a decent push.

Maybe I’ve misinterpreted the headline, but the article (unless I missed it) doesn’t really give any explanation as to why it won’t air on 10.
The show could still work or air on FTA, even given the scale of the production, plus still achieve sales or networking in other P+ territories
Surely they have the option to air it on the main or sub channel down the track if they wanted to, either as a preview to drive viewership / subscriptions to Paramount+ etc.

I’ve said it before. They should be screening new Australian content on both Ten and Paramount+ simultaneously. Overseas content can go Paramount+ then Ten.

Knowing them I wouldn’t read too much into it. It should pop up on FTA either on Ten or somewhere else later down the track.
