I think we will see in venues LED screens with either animated crowds in the “stands” or zoom/Skype fans.

It is Tokyo after all, if anyone can do it they can!

Based on the timeslots, I’m guessing the TBA above will be the first half of the Port Adelaide v Collingwood game which starts at 7.15pm AEST, with coverage moving to 7mate for the 2nd half from 8.30pm AEST.

Do we know who from Channel Nine are going over?

Think Christine Ahern is going over. Damien Ryan normally goes to the Olympics but I’m not sure if he’s going this time (due to Syd covid outbreak)

The Closing Ceremony is live on Peacock but shown on tape on NBC. It’s either listed “LIVE” or “TAPE” according to the schedule.

Chef de Mission media conference. Report confirmed that no more than 50 Australian athletes would participate in the opening ceremony.
