Given how few medals Australia wins at the Winter Olympics, why would they? Has any Australian breakfast show team broadcast from Winter Olympics before?
I know Berrets had represented Sunrise at Winter Games but I don’t think the main hosts ever went. Plus, how much would it cost and what is the benefit?

I do seem to recall Kylie Gillies, Simon Reeve, Monique Wright, Grant Denyer or Nuala Hafner being involved at times, as well as Mark Beretta?

Wonder how that happened! Wwos (Italy or Sydney), TCN or NPC Media error?
I’m assuming going to ads wouldn’t have been preferred, Weekend Today would’ve wanted as much lead-in and direct flow as possible. There might’ve been some who changed channels or turned off the TV.

I’m going to assume that that number doesn’t change much and most of them do so when the ceremony is over, even if the handover was smooth.
If you’re gonna stay back to watch WT, you’d probably sit through that.
But we don’t have minute-by-minute viewership so there isn’t really any way to know.

Michael is a great choice for WT co-anchor. I can’t stand David Woiod on sunrise so I’ll enjoy making he switch.

As much of a Seven Fanatic I am - Michael does great on Weekend Today.
I enjoyed him as a fill in - So it is a great move from Nine to lock in Michael as the co-host
A solid choice - thankfully nine didn’t do something random like choose Dr Nick! They need to leave it alone now and let the team settlE in.
I still think that show has a lot to do to catch Sunrise (WT felt clunky for years - studio, random hosts all contribute). And honestly the weekend lineup of Mon David and Sally is very strong. Particularly the two main hosts who are very capable.
