I feel like they have completely messed this up. Why are they showing random news events? What has that got to do with the TCN9 studios?
No mention that this was the first station to launch in Australia. Very disappointing.
And like others have said “TCN” will continue to broadcast throughout Sydney, it’s just moving into new facilities.

You’d be mistaken for thinking Nine was shutting down.

I would say some junior producers have put this together, not really understanding the historical links to what’s happening.
The GTV9 (Bendigo Studios) send off was so much better 10 years ago.

They should have checked it.
Anyone with brains can see that was weird.
They better have something better coming. Maybe 60 Minutes or something cause that was totally crap.

Judging from those caps, I don’t see what the issue is?
To me it sounds like they are saying TCN broke all the big news stories over the years…

TVCynic only posted the very few caps from the studio. It was a 7-8 minute montage mostly of news footage.
Unintentional misleading caps and not a true representation of what went to air.

Covering the biggest news stories that took place while the show was presented from there doesn’t seem odd in the least bit to me. The show can absolutely do nothing correct in the eyes of some here.

Yes - there were a whole lot more events that aren’t in the caps.
The closer said:
TCN is off air. For the final time, the home of television’s final live show , signing off in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. TCN is off air.

What crap.
The show has been fantastic this year. They’ve brought it back from the brink. Ally and Alex are fantastic additions and Tim is perfect on weather.
The content has dramatically improved. The balance between news, entertainment and pure fluff has been rectified.
It’s the best it’s been in years, including Lisa’s era.
One segment doesn’t mean they can’t do anything right in our eyes.
It was just a strange way to celebrate the move. That’s all.
They are going to continue to show news footage at their new location. How’s that special to where they are now?
Showing footage of programs produced from there would make much more sense.

Again it’s not the news or the show that’s ending, but it’s the former studios they are leaving behind.
It would have been better if the did the weather from varies spots in and around the station, showcasing some of the history that’s occurred there. Missed opportunity.

Yes. This. Where was the studio tours? The “this is where so and so did this” etc
That’s what they should be celebrating. Not random selections of news footage.

I thought there had been a special filmed with Ray Martin?

If it exists, why isn’t it airing tomorrow night?
Straight after The Block Auction.
Would have been perfect.

It is happening. I believe Kerrie Elstub posted about it some time ago. I do agree though, it would be ideal if it aired last night or tonight.

Agree, the last 9 news (live) bulletin should have been tonight followed by a send off the TCN9 studios with Ray Martin at 7am. Then from tomorrow morning a welcome to North Sydney Studios with Today.
