Today (2020-Feb 2025)

Starting to get used to this look. I just wish they would continue the wooden floor texture around the whole platform and the one below it.

Still hate this. New displays need to be fitted ASAP

I feel this area - particularly the screen wrapping around this part of the set is very under-utilized in other programs. ACA could’ve had a desk in here and used this space. Would’ve looked great.

True, they’ve got the plasma wall off to the side of the soft set. Of course some people wouldn’t be happy that there are LINES between the screens  :joy:

The displays didn’t look like this before they moved so I wonder what happened in the interim?

It’s a actually carpet at the back that’s there to stop the chairs scratching and sliding the black rise. They would have to get brown carpet.

Probably because when they took the screens down, moved them and Re-configured them at North Sydney they didn’t do it properly. Also they didn’t calibrate the screens equally either which is why the screens don’t look as good as they did before.

Can I honestly say, this is the best thing for TODAY, in terms of PR. Nicely done.

Who’s this bloke doing the weather?

Gavin Morris from NBN.

I think he’s talking about the weather segments every 30 mins. Who is it?

Adrian Alaberg

On the website it says he’s a Today presenter. Never seen on the show?

The Today/Nine presenters website is very outdated, needs updating

He was on Today Perth for a while doing weather and regularly features on Nine Perth’s afternoon news’ The Pulse segment.

It looks like he is a Perth based Nine presenter who featured on Today Perth.

My mistake. Sorry.

I think it would be a bit of a nightmare to try covering the lower platform (more work, storage problems, more to get broken), but completing the wooden floor behind the desk (not where the carpet is, no sense in moving it) would make it look finished.

The carpet is fine but there is still a ring of black floor around it.

It’s what happens when two programs with drastically different style of branding share a set.

I think the red wall behind the set should be made into a lighter blue or white colour so it will work better with both shows.

The only think that bothers me are the split screens. That’s all.
