A lot else needs to change for Sunrise to move to second place. Remember, even at its most recent peak when Karl and Lisa were pulling their best numbers they, still came in second to Sunrise. But good to have a competitive show again.
Yes they were second but they were on the verge of overtaking them. It was starting to get down to the wire and it was only a matter of time. Then came the drama and it was over.
I think they will get back to that wire again however be mindful of time and it will take considerable time.
I don’t think we will see the shift of Today constantly ahead but I think it will be a neck and neck race in the medium to long term. Unless something dire happens over at Sunrise.
I think Kochie may try to get to 20 years first. Once that happens there will be a major shift at Sunrise - but it’s clear that Matt Doran is in line to become Kochie’s replacement.
And it looks as though he’s rating pretty favourably.
Kochie turns 65 next year, and I can easily see him staying on for another five years, if he’s on a four day a week contract.
Kochie leaving Sunrise will not only hurt Sunrise’s brand and give Today a resurgence, but will also ruin Koch’s brand, as he will not be such a well known public figure as he once would’ve been.
Not so much leaving Sunrise will ruin Koch’s brand, but he would pretty much become irrelevant in the public eye without the gig (and he may of stepped down as Port Adelaide chairman by then).
First of all you don’t know what will happen, none of us do so I feel as though when the time comes it would be more appropriate to comment on it. How is it going to hurt their “brand” if he leaves on his own terms…
You’re making it sounds like it matters. What a weird comment to make. Isn’t the point of retiring to scale back on all of that in the first place…
It’s just shaped to sit on top of the black platform - almost like a puzzle, you can see that it sometimes moves especially when there is a chair on top revealing the exisiting black.
