That CBS set is insanely unappealing and Nine’s set is better. Flashy doesn’t always win the race.

I mean what’s impressive about it? It’s literally a 4 wall monitor studio with a glass desk. Absolutely no depth to the set at all and it’s easily the weakest of the American big 3. It almost looks like a sterile modern hospital ward. NBC and ABC are heads and shoulders above the CBS example cited here.

Mind you, ABC has a giant monitor and desk as its set and NBC greenscreens half its Nightly News shows these days (understandably) but how they utilize their otherwise versatile studio into it is dreadful.

Significantly better than an all glass and screen studio with no depth. Much like everything CBS does, the set for CBSEN is underwhelming. CNN, Fox and MSNBC all have impressive sets as well and are more in line with what Today has rolled out than the sterile box CBS has.
