I think Studio 10 might have used a similar view at one stage.
Maybe Rob McKnight had something to do with the video? He used to do a lot of BTS social media content then and a lot of his videos were deleted when he resigned. Maybe he then used the same idea when he was at Studio 10?

True, but itās the same as the ACA new backdrop, people who know the buildings know itās Docklands in Melbourne. To me in the Today backdrop I couldnāt tell you what building is what or from where. Looks generic to me. Thereās no Sydney Harbour bridge or the Opera house, so itās not screaming Sydney to me.

I donāt think Iām allowed to post exact figures on here, but from looking at TV Tonight, Weekend Today failed to even make the Top 20 yesterday (Saturday), and was even beaten by Sevenās 2020 Schools Spectacular, and both 5pm bulletins on Seven and Nine.

Because its hidden behind Deutsche Bank from that angle. You do get a glimpse of some buildings like MLC Centre and Wintergarden.

This could be the first Summer in 3 years in which the hosts will remain in their roles going into the next year.
2017/2018
Lisa Wilkinson resigns with Georgie Gardner joining from January 2018 as co-host.
2018/2019
At the end of the 2018, Karl Stefanovic, Sylvia Jeffreys, Tim Gilbert, Natalia Cooper leave the show. Georgie Gardner, Deb Knight, Tom Steinfort, Tony Jones, Brooke Boney, Steve Jacobs (comes back) taking over from January 2019.
2019/2020
At the end of the 2019, Georgie Gardner, Deb Knight, Tom Steinfort, Tony Jones, Steve Jacobs leave the show. Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon announced as new co-hosts from January 2020 with Tracy Vo, Alex Cullen, Tim Davies joining the show.
Itās been a busy few years of instability for the show.
The show now has the right formula, hopefully weāre now in a stable period.

Peter Overton mentioned at the end of the Late News tonight that Tom Steinfort is co-hosting with Ally on Monday morning. Weāll just have to wait and see.

Interesting. I think I havenāt seen this duo before.
ā¦but I look forward to the annual Today show bloodbath. It just wonāt feel like the silly season without all the speculation over whoāll get knifed next and whoāll be the next lamb to the slaughter the gossips at the Terror will have their sights set on.

Almost sounds more entertaining than the show itself
Had a quick look back on the old forum page.
They hosted on two separate occasions last year.
Once in July (for two days, plus one day with Deb).
And then in October for two weeks, one with Deb, and one with Georgie.
Plus one weekend in December 2018.
It will be interesting to see Tom and Aly together. I think they potentially couldāve worked as a permanent duo on Weekend Today. Not saying it should happen now, Karl and Aly are too good.
