Todd Woodbridge making a good first appearance on Today?

Well, from the limited segments I saw earlier, I thought so 
I mean, his first time? So hardly can criticise yet. Seemed natural, looked polished, knew the works, good banter with Alicia, there were a few gremlins or things not neat, but can’t say he was ‘bad’ at all. I think you’d call him a solid, reliable performer, whatever setting. His Postcards and TP and other non-sport or more serious stuff have helped bring out his natural wit and humour side, which years ago we’d never really seen. Still a masterstroke namely with TP TBH.

Also it isn’t the normal format - part of the time he would be introducing highlights and replays, like he did on the daily encore program.

Good points above. True, this Today format isn’t the normal one, and is more Olympics based.
And with his first time on the show, agree he was good. Certainly his experience from hosting Tipping Point and presenting Postcards has helped ease off any nerves.

Even though this isn’t the normal Today format, it is live in contrast to Todd’s other hosting duties in Paris. Though he has plenty of experience calling live sport.

I tuned in for a bit, he was BETTER in that environment (still don’t see him as a game show host - seems too wooden… and I’m not trying to make a deliberate pun with the last name lol).
I’d go so far as to suggest he could be another fill-in option for when Karl is away on the regular broadcast.

Woodbridge & Loxley confirm Karl and Sarah will be back after the closing ceremony for Today on Monday morning. Scheduled to start at 7.15am but depends how long the closing ceremony runs for

Will we be seeing any more of Brooke Boney on Today or is she now finished?
Apparently Jayne was meant to start at the beginning of the games - given she has been doing the news updates during Today in Paris, and Brooke was still in Paris last weekend, I guess Jayne will be starting formally today.
