Hear Hear.

I’m on Karl’s side here, it’s gone WAY to far.

Agreed Karl has copped enough

The media played a big part of his demise, and it looks like they want to keep sticking the knife in.

It’s disgusting behaviour. If the guy wants to have lavish weddings that is his perogative, likewise with his relationships. Media needs to move on.

Personally I didn’t like Karl on TODAY (thought he was a good journalist though) However, the Daily Mail has played an huge role in bringing him down. Regardless of his high profile, marriages and marriage separations occur on a daily basis. It doesn’t help when his ex-wife goes around talking to Studio 10 and (supposedly) magazines. None of them deserve the time of day on TV or Newspapers regardless of who side your on and Christmas day is too far.

Suggesting to make a new topic on MS is essentially hitting a new low, the new era can start by stop sharing articles every minute of what he is doing.

Karl will definitely still be around in the TV news game in one role/network or another. People don’t like him, yes. But people don’t like people not liking him either.
Some time out of the spotlight and he’ll be everyones best mate again. That’s my opinion anyway.

Due to all the ā€œcoverageā€ by Daily Mail and the women’s magazines, unfortunately I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Karl Stefanovic eventually feels that he has to end his media career or continue it overseas to escape the spotlight here in Australia.

Why should he make that decision I still think he can still do news sports such as the show he has got going for him. Just needs rest and to steady true to himself. The media vultures got what they wanted he was let go from today and he’s still coping it from all sides . He just needs a break to be with his new bride who knows in a years time he can make a good career back.
Doesn’t everybody like a career tragedy and career come back?

And I feel like it’s a whole man hating thing media and society is really going overboard with.

I can see Karl moving to the LA newsroom for nine

What’s the difference between this and sunrise not having a weather presenter?

It’s the week between Christmas and New Year, all businesses run in skeleton staff.

Most people will be sleeping in this week!

I said ā€œkeep pulling thisā€. As in they do it all year round.

Please don’t use this week as an example to prove a point. I know this week is an exception, I mean News Breakfast starts at 7am they have that minimal staff.

You know very well I meant in general.

Ok. I haven’t seen this at all during the year but could be wrong.

For years now Weekend Today have had two hosts and one newsreader. The male host reads the sport and half the year they’ve had a weather presenter and half haven’t. Been very messy and random.

WT get a weather presenter if someone sponsers the segment.

Yes I know but that is by design. Lots of weekend shows have less resourcing or aren’t on at all.

Completely different to the sports presenter on weekday Today doing a dual role for the week of Christmas.

Also back before Cameron Williams, Today never had a sports presenter. They just had 2 hosts, a newsreader and a weather presenter.

Deb’s last day filling in on Today this morning.
Next week she will only be doing the 6pm news.

I wonder who is presenting then?

Alicia?

Georgie might be back. Alicia has to do Melbourne’s 6pm news and she is pregnant so she might not be able to fly. Allison Langdon is another option.

Hopefully she will be back shortly.
