Absolutely crazy how everyone is doing Christmas in July now.
It started off where pubs and restaurants were doing Christmas food because Australia’s climate is not suitable for European Christmas food in a hot summery December.
Now I see Woolies promoting mince pies and other Christmas food. KFC with Christmas decorated takeaway boxes. Christmas trees decorating The Rocks in Sydney. And today I saw a jewellery shop having a “Christmas in July Sale”.
What’s with sad people “Yucking” other peoples “Yums”?!? How does Xmas in July affect you? I bet you are the same with halloween, wanting kids to be unhappy instead of being excited to have lollies with friends.
Have some respect for the true meaning of Christmas Day and don’t commercialise it so you can make a buck for 5 months of the year. A month after Christmas in July you’ll start seeing decorations in shops again for December.
It’s people not living in the moment and fast forwarding the year. Ultimately they actually make the event itself far less special than it used to be - by going so early on Christmas and things like Halloween by the time the event actually comes along it’s very much an afterthought and they want to pack it all away and get on to the next thing.
If Tipping Point was in The Chases’ position and did this it would come across as very desperate - although ultimately it is of course just a bit of fun.
Cringe all u want - other people enjoy it, sad for you.
True meaning…lol @ u - basically the meaning it love others and be loved, ur the opposite. Probs not worth continuing. Xmas in July is purely enjoy the cold weather and celebrate with family. (No religion these days with holidays)

Nova 100’s Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips visited the Tipping Point set on Wednesday afternoon, recorded a short chat with Todd Woodbridge (which was played on air on the breakfast show today), and filmed a special episode that would be shown later this year. Clint Stanaway was unable to go, as he attended the press conference of Melbourne AFL club president Brad Green and sacked coach Simon Goodwin at the same time.
UPDATE: here is the podcast of the chat with Todd.
UPDATE 9/8: Radio Today has an article on the visit.
