Ticker News

Strikes me as a bit of a self indulgent situation. I want my own network and I have some cash lying around, so why not :man_shrugging:

The fact that no rehearsal was done is quite shocking and absolutely fair criticism, I agree with all of your other points as well - the lack of social distancing is a glaring oversight, or arrogance if it’s a conscious choice.

I got no problems giving it a chance… but what they are doing to start it up is just backwards from sixty years of television.

Robin Williams trending on Twitter “not for any particular reason” says Holly Stearnes.

There was a reason. People were sharing ‘Which celebrity death, in your lifetime, hit you the hardest?’.

Sorry, I don’t understand the negativity? It’s her first report, and this is what you take out of it? She did a fantastic job.

I’m sure she did a fantastic job, and congratulations. I was just pointing out there was a reason for Robin Williams trending.

Oh boy.

Wonky monitor.

New show Inside Entertainment debuts on Ticker on July 1.

The Radio Today website has really gone downhill since Jake took it over.

It’s turning in to the daily mail. Radio Today absolutely love K&J

Bit of a face palm moment. Ticker is starting to resemble a community tv station and I’m not the first to mention this. Are producers not picking these things up?

Maybe people do need journalism degrees and newsroom experience before being thrown on live ‘Tv’

And a new stylist. What even is that look?

What appear to be two independently produced programs Innovate Today and Black Belt Leader are a success on YouTube, with the episodes regularly getting over a thousand views, and sometimes a lot more. There is some on-demand interest in some of the content.

The views for our show (outside ticker) are on Facebook as I’m constantly having to dispute copyright claims on YouTube due to the nature of THE BEN, ROB & ROBBO SHOW. We stream in a number of places which is why it’s difficult to get an overall number. Some episodes have had 18k just on one feed and other have had much less. The key for us is getting the brand out there to a point where it becomes appointment viewing.

Would on demand viewing be more realistic? I know I’d never watch something live in the afternoon but as a podcast or VOd I’d be more likely.

Do you think that you’ve got a bump in numbers because the current situation may allow more people to watch? (especially live) - I know i’ve been “watching” (well having it on in the background) more TV during the day then I normally would

I’m not surprised - are you having any success having them resolved in your favour?

It’s a available on demand after the live viewing and we definitely see people watching later than the original stream

Yes, I think the time was right to get people to sample. Hopefully as people return to work it will be their lunch time routine???

Re YouTube, yes, I haven’t had one rejection re copyright claims (so far) based on fair use/fair dealing for the purposes of reporting news or commentary. It’s just a slow process as the copyright owner has 30 days to respond.
